"Get Over It!"

this is what my children tell me... get over the whole jehovah's witness thing!

yes, they tell me they have gotten over the whole thing and they tell me that and i need to also.

my exgirl friend who was raised as a jw also has said the same thing.. my children say they got over it, however they are quick to point out how messed up their lives are now because of no college education and other missed opportunities.

Agree, elders are often, not always, asshats. I remember an elder that didn’t like me, we were out in service in the winter, it was very cold. He took the group out for a coffee break AND LEFT ME IN THE TERRITORY BY MYSELF. I was 12 years old, didn’t know where they went, had no idea if they were coming back, nothing. They came back and this asshole elder apologized to me in front of the group, a fake, sugary sweet apology that I knew was not sincere. The looks on the faces of the rest of the group told me that they knew he left me on purpose. I went home so chilled I developed a bad cold. Asshole!!

New baptism contract

hi all, a little while back we had a thread on the topic a new baptism contract, specifically question two, in that the "in association with gods spirit directed organisation" has been dropped.

we had two circuit level baptisms in australia since the story started getting around where the old wording was still being used and i was starting to think that it was just a rumor.. the melbourne international convention this passed weekend used the new contract, in which the claim of spirit direction is rolled back.

i would share here if i could post a mp3 file.. what will be next 1914 swept under the carpet?.

Melbourne Convention Protest

hi all.. i didn't want to post this in private because i want all to see what i saw.. the protest at the melbourne convention went superbly in my opinion.

the protesters and their banners were more than eloquent and succinct.

you could feel the emotion they all conveyed.

Life Update 2019

it's been a while since i was anywhere close to being active here, or on any other ex-jw forum or facebook group.

i rarely think about the religion and have little-to-no interest in it.. however, i do, very occasionally pop in here.
