If they expect to retain members long term, they need to become more mainstream, which they could do, with “new light”. Much of the reason I left, was due to not being able to live a “normal” life. If holidays, birthdays, flag saluting, etc. and blood transfusions became “conscience matters”, and they stayed out of peoples sex lives, they might last a bit longer.

CO said; “Friends (plural) who’ve been raised in the truth are beginning to have doubts regarding their faith”
by pistolpete inhere is what a co said at the elders and ms meeting.
it goes to show that no matter how hard the governing body tries to instill fear of apostates, it's just not working on the young crowd of jws.. it's a new generations of born in jws--------and they don't buy this shit anymore.
it's really over for the watchtower.

What Do You Think About Home Schooling?
by minimus ini knew a few witnesses who were very proud of the fact that their kids were homeschooled.
years ago, i would raise my eyebrows wondering why these families couldn’t simply integrate their kids with other “worldly” kids.
at this point in time, with so many theories being pushed on kids and their parents, i can see why parents, if they are qualified, could instruct their kids themselves.

That’s why there should be some oversight by the state, to check on the progress of the kids. A worldly mom I know home schooled her 4 kids up to high school, with only a HS diploma herself. Her kids knew NO math except simple addition and subtraction. She was a good, loving mom, but not a teacher.

Before they close up shop entirely, they owe me 5 million dollars for robbing me of a normal childhood.

Remember the Turpin kids? They were home schooled. To their detriment.

This says that other film makers will use these studios? I guess that’s their new income stream?

David Splane's apostate warning convention talk
by neat blue dog ini know this recent video has been talked about already but i just watched it and here are a few things that got me annoyed as usual:.
splane says that if a bible student says he saw some negative information from apostates and asks us to explain it, we shouldn't look at it or address anything specifically, but instead we should tell them to go to meetings and hear what we have to say about ourselves and also tell them to befriend people at the hall.
for any person with integrity and/or intelligence, this is not a satisfactory answer.

I know some ‘worldly’ people who home schooled, some very successful, and others not so much. Some ‘home school’ just so older kids babysit while mom works. Others do it so their abuse won’t be reported. I am a firm believer in a public school education, but my daughter attended a private Christian high school, which was her choice, not mine.
