  this afternoon i drove by an old hall i attended ( barrington illinois) and noticed that it had been sold, it is now an adventist .

  church !

  now here is my drive-home thinking.. back in the 80's when i attended i was newly married, and had a young child.

  This is mere speculation…it has been implied that a 10th arrest is about to happen regarding the PA CSA investigation. Maybe he is number 10? If not, maybe he was caught with a closet full of tight pants. Either way, it’s hard to feel sorry for such a huge douchebag. Unless he shows up here, or on YouTube, to “tell all”.

  House Bill 1098

  many of you are aware of the ongoing battle over clergy exemption from reporting of child abuse.

  the question is, are we in the field doing enough to push for what is right!?.

  there are always multiple ways of looking at an issue, and the viewpoint advocated by the catholic church, the mormon church and the watchtower church is that the provision of confession without the fear of being turned in to police allows an abuser to seek help to stop his abuse.

  First, who should be permitted to call themselves clergy. IMO, a person who has a degree from an accredited seminary is a clergy member. Not a window washer, or factory worker who is an elder. Second, a confession that is protected, should ONLY be between the aforementioned clergy person holding a degree, and the confessor. Not 3 elders, unqualified, who tell other elders, their wives, etc. It should be established who can actually be called clergy. And then, ONE clergyman, and ONE congregant. Not like the witnesses do it. JMHO.
