  by now, it should be painfully obvious that we live in a post tonny morris era where the floods of organizational changes have become possible and a new version of the religion, some have called it warchtower 2.0 is emerging with a soft approach to disfellowshipping practices across the board for all those sinners.

  nevertheless 3 groups of people will still be targeted for harsh excommunication, we know the first two well :csa perpetrators and apostates.

  Ok, now I have to share something true that happened to me. I was divorced (scripturally) from husband #1. I was hanging out with some single and married sisters, we went out to restaurants and clubs, etc. One of the married sisters asked me for a favor.

  She had to work on a Friday night, and her husband would be alone. Would I take him out with me and some of my worldly friends, clubbing? Sure, I would keep him company.

  The next day , she asked me, in a half kidding, half serious way if I had had “hot, monkey sex” with her husband. I was shocked. I would never betray a friend like that. So, she dropped it.

  Shortly thereafter, I moved away, and did my sudden fade, I was so done with this crap. My parents told me this sister was having an affair with a single brother in the hall, and she was hoping that I would have sex with her husband, and leave her scripturally free. Since that didn’t work out, the affair came out, they got divorced, and she married the brother she was having the affair with. What a bitch. Interestingly, after they divorced, he called to ask me out on a date. I turned him down flat, I wanted nothing more to do with witnesses. So I guess she is guilty of scheming to end her marriage. 🤷‍♀️

  so the wt society is going to contest the recent norway ruling.. jehovah’s witnesses to appeal unconstitutional ruling in norway (jw.org).

  their true colours are shown in the statement: "the decision to deregister jehovah’s witnesses denies us the financial aid and other benefits that the government provides to over 700 registered religious communities in the country.

  additional consequences include losing the right to appoint and authorize ministers of jehovah’s witnesses as officiants for weddings.".

  I thought the appeal they already did was to what is the equivalent of the Supreme Court in the US. So, who are they appealing to? If they try this in the ECHR, they will lose, and all of Europe will know about their evil practices.

  Is there really a Bible rule against sex without marriage?

  regarding the poster from jw headquarters, who claimed that the gb would eventually loosen the rules regarding sex.

  the question is, is there really a bible rule explicitly prohibiting sex without marriage?

  because this would be the only possible reason why loosening those rules would even come up in a discussion.

  Peaceful Pete, I attended a bible study where it was suggested that Paul’s “thorn in the flesh” was actually homosexuality. 🤷‍♀️ This would have explained why he was never married, didn’t care much for women, etc.

  Remember that they really control a Community

  there's a lot going on, and a lot of saying.the interpretation of the scriptures, their internal doctrine and their policy change.. the 1914, 1919 and its consequences.. the birthdays and other holidays.. the beard, the tie, the slacks.. the "hi, nice to see you here".. but at the end of the day, what they're in control of, is a community.

  a society of people.

  and a corporation as well, that controls all this.. many of them don't even really mind about those changes.

  This religion still expects too much from children, that has to stop. Kids NEED to fit in and be normal, for their own mental health. Birthdays, holidays, Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, higher education, extracurricular activities, all of it. That’s why I’m so f@#ked up, and why I say if there is a class action for ruined lives, they owe me 5 million dollars.

  JW Expanded Volunteer Activities?

  i think the gb needs to expand publishers' volunteer activities beyond door knocking.. gb has shifted away from door-knocking to more varied forms of witnessing and no longer counting time for publishers.

  my prediction is that the gb will start encouraging jws to participate in broader community volunteer efforts: clean-up drives, food banks, senior citizen support, and other non-proselytizing activities.

  this move could help them gain goodwill with government agencies and the public.. expanding volunteer activities could significantly shift how jws are perceived by the wider community.

  They could open the Kingdom Halls on Saturday morning as a community food bank. Have the JWs donate the food, count the time as FS (pioneers), and put a tract inside each food bag. This would count as a charity. And, wouldn’t cost the Borg anything.
