  What Are Your Rights?

  rights seem to be everywhere nowadays.

  say hello to someone in the wrong way and you've violated 101 of their human rights.

  people imagine they have the right to all sorts of things - food, healthcare, housing, internet ... so many things are labelled basic rights and then you get onto their human rights - a favourite of the do-nothing bodies such as the un to declare.

  I’m with Rules and reg, I think people should just DO THEIR JOB and not second guess what customers want. What if you are Muslim and a checker at a grocery store, should you refuse to ring up customers who have pork or alcohol in their carts? How about a JW mailman, can he refuse to deliver birthday and Christmas cards because they “offend” him? Don’t get me started on pharmacists, if they won’t fill a morning after pill script, do they also refuse to fill viagra to unmarried men, or birth control pills to unmarried women. People should just DO THEIR JOB and get over themselves.

  i don't think i shared this story yet, it's strange and although i did a little detective work trying to figure out who said what and when i never found out much, big surprise, jehovah's witnesses love their secrets as we all know... but i thought other posters might find this interesting both in and of itself, because of what an elder told me one sunday back in 2011, and because of what it could imply as to high-ranking jehovah's witnesses prophesying the date of armageddon.

  specific dates went out the window in 1975, although governing body helper ken flodin hinted at 2040 in a talk uploaded to jw.org a couple years back, and the governing body hinted at 2034 in a watchtower back in the 90s.

  but it might be, just might, that more specific date-setting still goes on behind closed doors in certain circuits.... so after i went to "meetings" and talked to witnesses for a couple years at a rural congregation in the eastern united states an elder pulled me aside one service into the vestibule at the hall, in other words, into a private area where no one would overhear us.

  one was an elder who i trusted beyond belief and the other was his 18 year old son, who i had a huge crush on.

  Great news! And yes, it is a big middle finger to the borg that these babies won’t be raised in a cult, I have 2 grandchildren not being raised in the cult, they are wonderful and so much fun. And to think my parents said the end was “so close” I wouldn’t make it into kindergarten before the end came. Ha! FU WT!

  Neighbor teens selling drugs

  not too long ago had a lady and her two teen sons move nearby.

  she had mentioned awhile back how they came from a rough ghetto neighborhood.

  this lady is always screaming and fighting with her sons, so loud, homes away hear it.

  Although I lurk here more than I post, I am very grateful for this website. I feel that you are all friends, or at least “kindred spirits”. It also keeps me in the loop of all the new teachings, I’ve been out a long time, but prefer tp know what’s going on, due to some aging family members still in.
