Self control fruits of the spirit. Fat GB seem to lack it

yet some of them seem to lack self control when it comes to eating.
br herd, mark sanderson and br jackson in these are all very obese.. if they travel to poor places wearing their rolex watches and gold pinky rings the brothers there will surely wonder why they are so fat.. there are many scriptures talking about not being greedy and not gluttonous for food.. if they were really chosen by god as his channel on earth then why can’t they show the fruits of the spirit and show self control when it comes to being gluttonous?.

What does the Catholic church think of JW?
by Halcon inon a trip to rome a few years ago i asked my friend (who is roman and jw) what the catholic faith thinks of jw.
he simply stated that jw is tolerated by the church but that really not much thought is given to them.
is there an official stance on jw by the catholics?

VE Day (victory in Europe) and the Generation.

80 years since the defeat of nazi germany in 1945. i find the interviews of the stalwart men and women who played their part very moving.
these veterans speak with pride and sadness about their experiences, those they lost, those they fought alongside.

I remember that song. I asked my parents if we SHOULD fear those who kill the body, because we have no soul? In their teachings. That is one of those (many) times that I was warned not to “think too much” because I will “think myself right out of the truth”.

Youths who gave up amazing lives
by JohnR1975 inwhen i was growing up i remember many young people interviewed on the platform at assemblies.
the ones who really stood out are the talented ones who gave up amazing lives to pioneer.. i remember specifically when i was a boy in the 70s and 80s some who were very good at sport or something.
their teachers begged them to get professional training use their talents to the full.

Yes, I remember thinking that I would be killed in Armageddon because “Jehovah reads hearts”, so of course, he would read mine, and, knowing I hated being a JW, would kill me. What a way to grow up. Btw, I have that book, Life Everlasting…Freedom…bla bla bla. What a crock of 💩

I turned 16 in 1975, I remember that very well. If I bring up 1975 to my relatives, they gaslight me, telling me that it didn’t happen. I WAS THERE, IT HAPPENED. I remember Sunutko’s talk, “Stay Alive Till ‘75”.
At the district assembly in summer of 1976, Fred Franz came to the convention and pointed his finger at the audience. He said it was OUR FAULT the end didn’t come, because we were expecting it. I remember thinking to myself, You are a f##+ing liar.
