Letter to the editors......
by TheApostleAK inguess who wrote this letter?
(taken from a wt from 1894).
gentlemen:--enclosed herewith please.

Guess who wrote this letter? (Taken from a WT from 1894)
GENTLEMEN:--Enclosed herewith please
find Exchange on New York for the sum of
$6.00, for which please send me ZION'S
WATCH TOWER one year and copies of
MILLENNIAL DAWN.
By way of explanation for ordering this
amount of books, I desire to say that, about
two months ago, two young ladies came into
my office selling those books. I was very
busy when they presented their card; and,
seeing that they were ladies selling books,
I bought the three volumes, thinking that
by so doing I was helping them out. I have
since concluded that these ladies brought
to me "glad tidings of great joy." I took
the books home, and thought little of them,
until a few weeks ago, when I had some
spare time, I began reading the first volume,
and it was so very interesting that I could
not stop. The result is, my dear wife and
myself have read these books with the keenest
interest, and we consider it a God-send
and a great blessing that we have had the
opportunity of coming in contact with them.
They are indeed a "helping hand" to the
study of the Bible. The great truths revealed
in the study of this series have simply
reversed our earthly aspirations; and realizing
to some extent, at least, the great opportunity
for doing something for Christ,
we intend to take advantage of this opportunity
in distributing these books, first,
among our nearest relatives and friends,
and then among the poor who desire to read
them and are unable to purchase; and for
that reason we desire these extra copies.
As soon as these are exhausted, we will
order more, and try to do what we can in
this way, be it ever so little.Yours, etc.,
drofrehtuR .F .J
If only he told those 2 women to get lost.

Beatings continue in Republic of Georgia—perpetrators remain unpunished
TBILISI, GEORGIA—On Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at 7.45 p.m., about 25 recognized followers of defrocked priest Vasili Mkalavishvili again violently disrupted a peaceful religious meeting of Jehovah's Witnesses. In the Temka region of Tbilisi about 30 visitors in an apartment on the fourth floor of a five-story building were engaged in a Bible discussion when the mob stormed the staircase and smashed the door in with a sledgehammer. Once inside, they started beating those in attendance, mainly women and children, with metal-studded clubs. Several suffered serious injuries and required urgent medical aid in a nearby hospital. Mkalavishvili was seen near the entrance of the building in one of the vehicles used by the gang. At least four of the attackers—Vakhtang Dadunadze, Zura Lomtatidze, Bela Vacheishvili and Lia Akhalkatsi—were identified by the victims.
Since October 1999, religious extremists have instigated 80 such violent attacks, but none of the well-known perpetrators have been punished so far. The freedom from prosecution that the attackers have been enjoying has recently prompted an application by Jehovah's Witnesses to the European Court of Human Rights.

Challenge...RE: WT bound volumes, books, CDROMs...
by TheApostleAK insince on many occasions, the watchtower and awake bound volumes have been altered from what was originally printed, and newer editions of hard covered books have also been altered compared to the originals, who's to say that the cds haven't also been tampered with?.
is there any proof of that?
there seems to be a belief on here that the wt has made wholesale changes to their bound volumes, books and cdrom's.

Reasons why I hate the JW's...
by TheApostleAK ini've witnessed these all...unfortunately... this is for all here who aren't jw's or xjw's.
this is what the jw's r really like.... problem: get rid of the crusty old geezers doing privledges.
example: the old has-beens who think they are elders and can boss people around.. problem: the thing where u have to ask the elders for everything.. example: in the literature room there was a box of old books, of which were books i needed to plug up gaps in my collection.
-
TheApostleAK
Oh yeah this too.
Problem: Salvation by works
Example: 5 hours of meeting attendance + 10+ hours of field service a month + Participating at meetings = Salvation! -

Example: In the literature room there was a box of old books, of which were books I needed to plug up gaps in my collection. They'd been there for months and no one wanted them so I wanted to take them. Had to get the elders OK first.Problem: Everyones a slack, back biting prick till the CO rocks up...
Example: A cong I was in had an attendance of around 80-90 normally but once the CO has a visit it gets bumped up to 120-130. Nothing gets everyone out to field service like the CO's visit. And nothing changes people like the CO's visit.Problem: The sh*tty man-made rules.
Example: A young female publisher wanted to move in with her auntie and uncle......turned into a no-go cos of the elders.Problem: The whole siege mentality
Example: Do or die......I had to say Jerusalem fell in 607BCE to stay outta deep trouble. Even though I knew it was all bullsh*t (The 607 date) I reckon the elder knew I knew it was BS...Problem: All the ass kissing.
Example: CO's visit, conventions, circuit and district assemblies.Problem: The name calling
Example: Running ahead of the borg is being presumptious.Problem: Lording it over the flock (Not only elders)
Example: Every cong has a dictator. All for now.
