  a again, our governing body has never claimed that our organization is inspired or infallible.

  instead they, our governing body, study the bible diligently and through prayer they make a request for his holy spirit to direct them and be upon them.

  A Again, our governing body has never claimed that our organization is inspired or infallible. Instead they, our governing body, study the Bible diligently and through prayer they make a request for his Holy Spirit to direct them and be upon them. And with his help, they come to decisions. So we believe this to be the channel that God is using today. But our governing body has said that it is not inspired or infallible.

  Does that mean that the Organisation is not the real channel God is using today but it's really the Holy Spirit???

  So that means that other Christians (besides JWs) who've received Holy Spirit are part of the 'Faithful & Discreet Slave' class too????

  We note that you letter said that you prefer to communicate with the committee through your attorney. We fail to see why this is necessary or even needed. Your status as one of Jehovah's Witnesses is an internal matter, not involving Caesar's purview. What is more, your meeting with the appeal committee is not adversarial. Your meeting with the appeal committee is for the spiritual purpose of deciding whether a serious error in judgment was made by the judicial committee that met with you earlier.

  You state in your appeal that you did not commit any offense for which you should be disfellowshipped. This is a spiritual, rather than secular, question which the appeal committee will examine. If the appeal committee determines that the judicial committee did not make a serious error in judgment in this regard, the spiritual question of whether or not you were repentant will also have to considered.

  We trust this explains why the involvement of an attorney is unnecessary and why we are communicating with you directly rather than through an attorney. Of course, Brother Anderson, as your husband, is welcome to be at this meeting with you.

  In other words you want to have a kangaroo court again.

  Let the media know about this.......these guys hate it.

  Pagan origins of Christanity?

  i'm in the middle of reading jesus and the lost goddess: the secret teachings of the original christians and after this i would like to read the jesus mysteries.. i happened to come upon this book by accident, but i was surprised to see just how much christanity has possibly borrowed from pagan religions (i knew that ot stories like the flood were borrowed, but figured the nt was made by some cultic jews).

  i also didn't realize that certain letters of paul may be forgeries, or that certain passages in the "genuine" letters could be allusions to pagan things.

  are there any other or books or websites on the topic that anyone could recommend?

  there are 2 known paedophiles in congregations over here in adelaide, south australia..(never charged by the police.......its all been hushed up by the brotherhood over here).

  i vaguely remember it was on their 'smash' album (it's either the song that goes "..demons in my head.." or the one called genocide).

  P.O.D. has been blacklisted......told by one of my JW friends on the other side of Adelaide that that was said in his congregations public talk yesterday.
