  i'm in need of advice:.

  today a jw wrote an article in a norwegain newspaper about the pedofile catholic priests scandal in the us these days.

  obviously, he enjoyed smearing them and argumented that the institution of celibacy was the root to the evil doings.. but, this jw is not personally very active - and he didn't mention anything jw-related in his article at all.

  Need help with 607 date & false prophet scr...

  in about 2 or 3 weeks i'll be stepping down as a ms and leaving the wts for good.

  but before i do so i'm trying to prepare some information in regards to the 607 date and numerous false prophecies (predictions).

  in particular i was hoping someone could give me some information on the following:.

  When dreamt Nabu the dream about the big tree, what is forepicture destroying of Jerusalem in WT doctrine? On end his ruleship - teach the WTS new Daniel book. When destroyed Jerusalem? On begin his destroy - teach that WT book.
  How possible, that prophecy later than fullfillment??

  Just a quickie on Furuli's postponed book

  there is no rift between stafford and furuli, and the reason why furuli's book has been postponed, is the following: he is presently working on completing his doctorate, his doctor's degree,which will be completed next year, and found he did not have the time simulatneously to finish his book.

  he found that he could not publish now what he had written, as it required far more study to fully deal with the questions.

  his book on chronology is therefore postponed till after the doctorate is completed.

  Stafford's "Three Dissertations" arrived

  i got the new stafford book yesterday, and spent two hours running thru it, just getting an overview.

  and greg stafford's book is a must, an incredibly "good book".

  i hope everyone here gets it and reads it, and takes it for what it is - an honest study, research, where the theology, the bible-based teachings are held in high esteem, and the organizational, man-made practices, the legalism of the society, is critizised and exposed.

  By "scholar" I referred to the fact that he both by education and by profession as a University teacher is one, as opposed to the many self-named "experts". If one wishes to draw further lines, between what oneself feels is a "true scholar" and a "formally yes, but in reality no, scholar" etc., was not my point.

  hardly any new converts in western land , and lots of children leaving or not taking it seriously.. people in pourer countries need a hope , lack education , and maybe look up to people in western lands and their ideas.. so will bethel soon be in africa?

  Dreaded Ministry School Speakers!

  i'm sure every hall has or had a "student" or speaker that they just dreaded to listen to.

  wether it was poor reading and pronunciation, or repetitive words, there are those grueling speakers that are murder to listen to.

  and they never got better.. in one hall i went to, this bro, actually a friend of mine, had the speach mannerism "you know".

  In the congregation of a friend of mine, a brother who had formerly fought for the US in Viet Nam, a REAL big guy, should give his first speach. He had such an amount of muscles, and was so tense, that he did not manage to get loose from the chair - the chair was stuck to him, or rather he was stuck to the chair, so that when he stood up, the chair followed with him, and another guy had to literally pull the chair from him. He got 10 times as nervous as before, and when he then was on the platform and should correctthe microphone a bit, he broke the microphone in two pieces. So there he stood, just relieved of his chair and with a broke microphone, and mumbles that "OK, I guess we're gonna live thru this, too."

  Run to ElihuBooks and get yourselves Stafford's latest - it deals with exactly these points, and shows the need for everyone to separate theology from speculation / legalism / chronology / dominion etc., in order for the faith to survive.

  i am wondering , with the world situation that way it is, could we be living in the last days?

  putting religion, and personal beliefs aside, are we are the brink of all of this coming to an end?

  geneocide, could happen because of what mankind is doing to the earth.

  If North Americans are in big trouble because that minority took "In God We Trust" off their money, then at least the rest of us, the great majority, will have more space.
  One nation removing some words = the end is near. Wow! Are we getting rather shortsighted!
  If you ask me, and there is no reason why you should, pollution, water shortage and an angry poor majority mixing anger with political-religious extremism will if not bring about an end, then at least living conditions so different, so radically changed, so void of animals and "nature" that it is as close to the end as you might come. Living in a desert, sort of.

  Set to take action not because of concern for the creed, but because of fear their money will stop coming in and they would have had to sell off some of their gold and land and whatever it is that they have robbed from the world's poor for the last 16-17-18 centuries.
