hi guys, i am known to some on here and to prevent further problems from the trolls that may identify my son from what i am disclosing i have a different name.

so, my 26 year old son gets the diagnosis ocular melanoma back on june 14th this year with a very bleak outlook.

i walked away from the cult some years ago, however my son stayed in as he was engaged to an uber witness girl.

"if he in any way contacts either his mother or myself for any help they will not only sling him out, he will also not be allowed to see his wife or child again. "

    Quite simply not true.

Why do the Jehovah's Witnesses accept the authenticity of "The Book of Daniel" but not that of Enoch's?

according to the jehovah's witness book called insight vol.

    "authenticity.

some critics question the authenticity of daniel, assuming the position taken by a third-century heathen philosopher and enemy of christianity, porphyry, who contended that the book of daniel was forged by a palestinian jew of the time of antiochus epiphanes.

The, jwfacts, with all due respect, you must have been sleeping thru many meetings and actively have NOTread many articles and books, since the topic of not-inspired books such as additions to both the OT and NT have been covered various times. The Vulgate and Luther additions have been commented on, so QUITE as uninformed as you claim the JWs to be in this respect, they are not - or better, ought not be.

A bit interesting, that 3 of the quotes were from Russel's era, 3 from Rutherford's, then there were 8 quotes from 1941 thru 1980, and only 2 are taken from the 32 years since 1980. So it seems you have to dig really deep into the history to find them quotes, and that lately not much has been said ..............

New Light - FDS not appointed over Jesus' belonging just yet

    by leaving_quietly in

    from http://www.jw.org/en/news/events-activities/annual-meeting-report-2012/.

when does jesus appoint the slave over all his belongings?.

in those verses, jesus is referring to his coming as judge during the great tribulation.matthew 24:30; 25:31, 32.. jesus appointment of the slave over his belongings, then, must also be a future event.

The ransom directly for the GC as well and not sort of "thru" the 144,000.

    Being inside the Temple.

    Perhaps partaking of the emblems.

Long list of possibilities, and they pointed to next year's annual meeting as important.

For my part, I find the change as to FDS very satisfying, as it has done away with a series of inconsistencies. More and more things are pushed into the future. Mainstreaming. But I liked it.

The one telling he loved the new light - really had a big mouth ............... literally.

blondie's comments on the wt this last sunday brought this to my attention.

the b0rg brags that 20,000 get dunked each month.

compare that to the following numbers from this site: http://www.wholesomewords.org/missions/greatc.html#birdatrate.

"By the way, the death rate for witnesses is grossly exagerated. The people dying of old age now on average were born in 1944. To calculate a proper death percentage for witnesses, you would need to consider what percentage of the population JW's were in 1944, a much, much smaller number."

Quite simply totally utterly wrong! The death rate of around 1 % is calculated based on the present population (or size of the group you are considering) and is the added sum of the death expectancy for each age (0 years of age + 1 year of age + 2 years of age ... etc.) which amounts to approx. 1 %. If the JW death rate is any different from 1 %, my guess is that it would be slightly higher, because of the high death rate in Africa and Latin America.

Ok Watchtower: will you be sending a DO to the funerals in Nigeria?

obviously you 'cared' about whitney's death, a horrible tragedy, enough to rally the troops and send a district overseer no less, to give the funeral talk.. do you care enough about the 20 poor jw's that died in that tragic truck cum bus accident in nigeria?

who will you be sending to the funerals?

what demonstration of the great brotherly love will you do for them?.

Perhaps a terrible tragedy like this is not the ideal topic for neither bad jokes nor easy critisism? Many children have lost their parents, many parents have lost their children, families have been wiped out - they should not be the object of sarcasm.

    1. There are quite a few amateurs here, partly stating themselves that they have only a very vague insight into the NT Greek - but that does not seem to stop them from having very clear opinions as to why the statement of Loesch simply HAS to be wrong.

    2. Perhaps - just perhaps - it would be better to wait until we can see the whole argument as part of a WT article within a couple of months, and not just as an incomplete sentence within very short and scanty minutes?
