it's no secret that the wtbts has a cash flow problem.
over the past three years they have closed 20 of their 116 branches.
they have sold off most of their properties in and around ny (including some kingdom halls), drastically reduced the # of printed pages for the watchtower and awake magazines, reduced the printing of books and other materials, increased the number of single page tract campagnes, installed cc machines at their assembly halls, and are now seizing of controll of property assets from local kingdom halls using renovation projects.
"The avergae family size in the US is 2.5 people per family? Lets take that low figure and this means there are 2,800,000 total families who are JW's in the entire planet earth."
Estimating number of families worldwide based on average family size in the US is violating just about every demographic principle there is. You just cannot do that.

we got called into the dreaded back room after meeting to find two elders wanting to discuss a 'serious' matter with us.
A friend of mine was called to a meeting with three elders and told one of them had seen him walking arm in arm with an unknown woman and wanted his comments on that.
Yes, he had - he had been walking arm in arm with his mother.
The meeting was rather quickly adjourned.
- it's amazing to track the confusion and stupidity contained in wt articles.
- in only one watchtower you can find multiple contradictory statements, and representations of truth that are simply lies made up on the fly.
- as an example the nov,15 2014 wt has the following quotes : -.
"brother Knorr, who was a spirit anointed member of the Governing Body, "readily accepted" a false teaching, and a false proclamation of fulfillment of prophecy. -"
Well, Knorr who was born in 1905, was 20 years old in 1925 and HARDLY a member of the GB by then ......................

i used to be very impressed with convention experiences regarding how worldly employers would hire jws because they were known as the most honest workers.
i was too indoctrinated to realise these were selective experiences, and there are plenty of experiences of jws being dishonest in the workforce.
i have received a couple recently by email.. i have cut quite a bit out of the following email i received so that the person and company cannot be indentified, but you will get the message.. .
Nothing beats quoting/fabricating anonymous e-mails, expanding their importance into making it sound as if 100 % of the JW community are like those anonymous persons, and then calling oneself "...facts".
he also talks trash about higher education .... (for those who know some spanish, view this youtube video...).

the us kingdom ministry shows the collective total 2014 memorial attendances of the countries that now comprise the us territory in 2014: 2,610,810.. those countries are: the usa, bermuda, jamaica, turks and caicos and puerto rico.. the same collective total for those same countries three years ago - 2011 - was 2,666,592.. that's a decrease of 55,782 from 2011 to 2014. i am happified.. while there has been the occasional year in which memorial attendances from one year to the next have shown decrease, this is a first: decline evident over a three-year period.. comments please!.

in the 80's and 90's (maybe even earlier) i remember hearing lots of witnesses talk about "demon attacks".
whether it was someone studying the bible who then started having strange things happen in their house to people bringing stuff home from yard sales and getting personal attacks and horrible dreams resulting in them dystroying stuff they brought home or getting rid of it.. .
i also remember hearing a sister say she had to pray in a home with a study because the study started to get attacked.
There was an article some years ago stating that such stories should be neither written nor told, in the same manner that Jesus stopped the demons from telling who he was. Demons should be no source of stories supporting what is true. I remember I read it some time prior to making a ministry school talk.
i was watching a couple videos on youtube earlier and always like to peruse the comments at the bottom of the page.. i'm no sure if this has been discussed recently, but one indivdual made the claim that the societies numbers are massively over inflated, as he/she believes that they include inactive, df'd and da'd in their figures.. does anyone have any information to confirm this or i this just another assumption made without evidence?.

The numbers definitely do NOT include the groups you mention; the number of publishers is the number of those who report their hours, and inactive ones and df'ed ones - how could they do that? The hours etc reported by each and every one is another question, but the NUMBER of those reporting is definitely correct.
