The Jehovah’s Witness bagged themselves a Big One when they got Professor Raj Kalaria, to speak about his belief
by Watchtower-Free inuk scientist helps christian cult to promote creationism.
the jehovah’s witness bagged themselves a big one when they got professor raj kalaria, above, to speak about his belief in creationism in a new video posted online by the cult.. keralia is currently a deputy director of the newcastle centre for brain ageing and vitality, newcastle, and a professor of neuropathology at newcastle university, uk.. when ex-jehovah’s witness lloyd evans, who runs jwsurvey, discovered that an april 2016 jw broadcasting episode featured keralia, he decided to:.
reach out to newcastle university to find out whether it endorses the academic’s stance on evolution, and found myself in a rather frustrating email exchange with helen rae, the media relations manager at the university’s faculty of medical sciences .. after much to-ing and fro-ing, an official statement was finally forthcoming ….

So in the opinion of Lehigh University, evolution has been tested scientifically? -

"Now I could be wrong.... but I don't think so."
In other words, you are looking for affirmative responses?
"What do you tell a sister with a unbelieving mate when she ask, "can I talk to my daughter who
is df". "
I tell her, "yes, of course!"

Live in the U.S.? Tune into Dateline Friday evening, April 15th, to see a report about the Colorado Candelario murder trial (he's a JW).

professor jim penton was invited to appear at the trial last month by the prosecution as an expert witness to answer questions about jws.

I wonder why this should be so interesting? One murderer among thousands in the USA. What makes this one so special? Is it because he is a JW? What about the Catholics or Evangelicals or Agnostics or Atheists? Why specifically target this one? -

OK. Thank you. Perhaps that has changed lately, but when that is done here, the spouse is either together with the study conductor or at least always in the house. But perhaps it varies from country to country. -

I have just a small, "technical" question: In some of these cases, the newspapers and/or court reports write that this or that person had as a special task to instruct children, or that the elders gave Brother so-and-so the task of guiding the sister's son or daughter, that a brother was frequently in the d-t-d work with a little boy or girl etc.
In all the congregations I have been, I have never experienced that someone had as a special task to teach or guide children, and I can 100 % thruthfully say that if a member of the congregation had frequently been out in the service or doing other acitivties with boys or girls, then others in the congregation would have reacted and started asking questions about what was going on. So why not in these cases? Why no warning lights?

KH construction
by truth doubter inis it a fact that all kh construction earth wide has stopped?
-
TheOldHippie
KH construction has not been stopped, but branch construction and branch renovations has been reduced. KH construction in countries with limited funds (Africa, Asia etc.) continues and is speeded up and therefore not affected. HQ and third world KH are the two main areas. -

My sister denounced the two elders
by opusdei1972 inyesterday my sister presented, against the two stalker elders, a complaint before the district prosecutor.
the prosecutor said to my sister that in the country there are freedom of religion, so it is totally illegal to accuse a person loudly in the street before her neighbors , and to insist for going to a illegal judicial questioning.
she even showed to the prosecutor a past notification in which she asked to the elders a written document specifying the charge of apostasy so as to attend the judiciary meeting with her attorney.

Things I Never Knew When I Was A Witness!
by disillusioned 2 inthere are some things that as a witness i never knew.
maybe i was just going through the motions, attending meetings and not listening much.
never was very good at personal study or underlining answers in watchtower or book study (i never ever answered up) was too shy.. i never knew when i was a witness that they taught that jesus had looked down on the earth in 1919 to see who was serving god most accurately, and of course he chose a small group of bible students living in america!

I went to see my Dr about the blood card issue
by purrpurr ini booked a double appointment so that she wouldn't be rushed.
i explained that i'd been brought up in the jw's and woken up to what a load of shite it was.
i explained that they have changed the blood card and that the elders in the cong are being told to effectively force people into signing it.

"forcing people to sign this thing against their own wishes"
That is not exactly true, is it? I have not signed a card in my whole life, and nobody has objected or commented.

Evolution is a Fact #34 - Hiccups and Tadpoles
by cofty inhiccups are a weird phenomena.
they are a combination of two involuntary actions - firstly a rapid inhalation of breath followed 35 milliseconds later by the glottis at the back of the throat suddenly closing off our airway.. our normal breathing is controlled by a "central pattern generator" in a small region of the brain stem close to the boundary with the spinal cord.
a signal is sent along the vagus and phrenic nerves resulting in a rhythmic contraction of muscles in chest, diaphragm and throat.. these nerves branch off right at the top of the spinal cord and follow a convoluted path through the chest cavity.

What about me, who has never experienced hiccups - does that mean tadpoles are not my ancestors, that I have to look elsewhere for my great-great-great etc. father/mother?
