And just to have said it - I have always found no. 3 disturbing - the world before 1914 was so troublesome that it was hard to see how the End could be postponed that long, how could one endure? - but now it is said that the world before 1914 was a peaceful world which was ruined by the 1914 events. -

I was just wondering about no. 2:
DISTORT the MEANING of WHAT YOU (previously)TAUGHT
(What was actually taught: "… from the beginning of the Lord’s presence in 1874 the Devil used the Papal system as the chief opposing instrument of God’s kingdom …" Watchtower1930 p.275
(False claim: " The Watchtower has consistently presented evidence to honest hearted students of Bible prophecy that Jesus’ presence in heavenly Kingdom power began in 1914. Events since that year testify to Jesus' invisible presence." Watchtower 1993 Jan 15 p.5
I have not the magazines in front of me, but is it not that just as it is stated that the presence started in 1914 with His coming and will end with His coming again in another sence during the Great Tribulation - that they also back then said that His coming in 1874 was the beginning of the judgmental period, and that it would end after 40 years - 1914 - with His coming at that time (1914) as Heavenly King. That in a way it is correct to say that they have always stated His presence in heavenly Kingdom power began in 1914, because His presence in 1874 was NOT in Kingdom power? I KNOW this is playing with words, but is it not in a way true - seen from within?

This thread is for proof that God exists
by juandefiero inhowever, i haven't found any evidence to support that belief.. have you?
if so please, show me the evidence that god exists, and i will believe along with you.. criteria:.
(1) you must specify which god you are talking about;.

sheperdless, "Surely God could not have always just existed; that makes no sense."
But before matter existed, there existed no time. So "Jesus was with God for countless millions of years" - well, he wasn't because time did not exist before creation. If, of course, a spirit being is void of matter. But imgaining a "time" when time did not exist - gives me headache and makes me grab my daily bottle of wine. If God is outside the Universe, in an "area" where there is no matter - he could not have created during so and so many years, but then he created everything in an instant, whereas the results of that act of creation expanded, lasted, forwards in time.
This evening is going to be long. And heavy.

What is the use in doing this when it is readily available on the CD - or DVD, as it is now? Some years ago they could be ordered at the counter, the Bethel reprints. So this work is already done, by the WT itself. And by the way, I have both the originals as single magazines, the bound reprints and the DVD, so what's the fuzz? -

Caption This Photo From The January Study Edition
by JW_Rogue inso as some are probably aware the january study edition has two articles on the anointed.
one basically discouraging people from believing they are anointed and another about how ones should view partakers.
this photo is from the second article:.

"Who wants to join a religion where they admit to having thousands of questionable members on record?Would you let you or your family or your children associate in a group with thousands of mentally unstable ones?"
Exactly. That is why I would never join the Catholic or Protestant religion.

Again: Where is Jesus?
by Wonderment inthe watchtower of december 2015 reports the following reaction of a family with four teenagers in the country of rwanda with the publication of the nwt, and how grateful they were for it.
the wt magazine said: .
things changed when the new world translation in their language became available.

I think you should look at what is discussed. A Bible has been translated and printed, and I do not think too many Christians would believe that Jesus himself has translated or printed the Bible. The GB is responsible for the work carried out by the translators and the various aspects of the printing and these Africans therefore thank them. I don't see any reason for a whole lot of fuzz goin' on. -

Talk on "Reaching Out"-Only What BOE Thinks Matters
by Simon Templar infor the “living as christians” section of the workbook, “are you reaching out?” talk (15 min), the bethelite gave this talk at the meeting.
he totally departed from the subject matter which is the watchtower of september 15, 2014, pages 3-6. he was so far off the reservation, it wasn't funny.
here are a few highlights of what was said: 1) if any brother asked why they haven’t been appointed, and wants to know if there is a problem or condition that exists, that brother is too “presumptuous” and therefore, can’t be used.

He cannot have departed much, 'cause exactly the same was said here, and that is across the Atlantic. -
