  Are you happy?

  in the context of this forum, happiness at its core is generally defined in one of two ways: a) being a witness or, b) not being a witness.

  most of us consider ourselves happier since leaving the organization.

  because of a recent discussion between violetanai and marilyn, i've thought about it some more, only to reaffirm the truth i already discovered some time ago.

  Lots of good stuff already mentioned here. I just wanted to add my 2 cents. A very wise person has helped me understand that happiness is about being true to yourself. It's not about how much money you have or don't have, whether your life is simple or not, whether you are a JW or not... It's about YOUR passion in life, whatever that may be...

  If other things keep you from doing what you want most in life, you will not be happy. If you are doing what you want most in life, despite the minor set backs and trials and tribulations that life drops on us, you will still be happy. This happiness will help you get through lifes trials and tribulations.

  We must all ask ourselves what our true passion in life is and follow through...

  JWs reading Franz's books.............

  this has got me wondering....... in australia there is a national christian bookstore that stocks coc, isocf.

  right now the wait for those 2 books is currently 12-14 weeks (there's a pre-order list so first in gets first books of the next order).

  this bookstore orders books by the pallet regularly.. i'm starting to think that jw's are ordering these books cos the wait is sssoooo long.. any comments?.

  when i was in "dubland" they would announce how many of the "elite-class" was left on earth.. do they still do this & what are the numbers etc.

  christians, what's so great about jesus?.

  why do so many people feel the need to base their life on a person, they have never met, did not write any of the works on his life, and has enormous claims made about him that can not be proved to be true?.

  sounds just like following the governing body of jehovahs witnesses to me.. can anyone give me a good reason for me putting trust in this man?

  As much as I wanted to believe, I never was completely convinced of paradise on earth. Also, I always wondered about the whole annoited thing. In my congregation there was an old, mean, witch who claimed to be of the annoited. I always doubted her and it would make me sick to see how everyone groveled over her even though she was just outright mean. She was a really old fart and she only liked the young brothers to attend to her... it was sick...

  im about to disassociate myself, and would like to know from those who have been disassociated , is there anything you would have done different before you disassociated yourself?

  do you recommend writing a letter?

  i really don't want to write a letter, cause that is what they want you to do, and they will never give you anything in writing.
