I turned out to be a pig too but I'm Aquarius not a Scorpio so I don't understand.

Anyway, I gave up chinese food a long time ago, Japanese food is far more delicious without all the grease!

Email / Viruses / Security Info

hi all: i have noticed a couple of posts recently about email being sent on the account of others, and some getting viruses, etc.

here are some helpful points.

I agree, this is true. However, I find it interesting that on this thread: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=29822&site=3 we learned that many of us here recieved the same email containing a virus.

I also find it interesting that I have been on other forums, chat pages etc. for years and have never had a problem with getting hacked or recieving viruses. A couple of years ago I had a ton of exe's I got from a variety of internet friends from all over the place. I have only started recieving viruses since coming aboard on this forum, never before had I ever recieved a virus and my home computer had never had Anti-virus software. I don't know how else to explain it.

Question On Blood

i just recently read a post on another board where a person claiming to be a witness claims that she called the society as was informed by them that it was all right to have one's own blood stored for future use.

anyone else heard of this?

am i just slipping behind the times or could she be mistaken about the matter?

Letter from society on donating blood

here are the scans of a letter from "the christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses" regarding a brother's inquiry about donating blood.

this letter is printed in greg stafford's new book "three dissertations on the teachings of jehovah's witnesses".. the scans are not that great but it was the best i could do.. .

please bear with me , i have never known any thing other than what the jw have taught me all of my life.

so all these ideas, theories come and go , and many times , they are just plain stupid.

my mind goes way off into left field never to return , which is probably a blessing.

I wish I could somehow take all that great knowledge you hold in your brain and automatically assimilate it into mine (kinda like an episode of "The Outer Limits" I saw once).

Since only recently getting out of dubdum, I'm overwhelmed by all the material I feel I need to read and sort through to come up with my own conclusions about life, God etc. I get a headache just thinking about it. Can you tell me where you started and how long it took you to get where you are now? I thought I would start reading about mythology. Do you think it's a good place to start? Can you recommend any reading?

i was df'd a number of years ago.

my parents never shunned me - they didn't feel that df'ing broke the family ties.

but when my brothers or uncle were in town i was "allowed" to come visit at certain times when their other jw friends would not be around.
