here is the scenario: god is bored one day and says to himself " lets give all the poor saps down below something to think about.lets give everyone on earth the opportunity to have one question answered truthfully" so that is my question,if you had the chance to have one question answered that you always wanted to know what would it be ?

the memorial last night was nothing new.

the routine never changes.

two congregations joined together for the night in one building.

Outstanding post! It really chaps my hide when persons down talk others who partake (df or not). How do they know who God calls? This is the first JW memorial I have missed in 33 years! And I think I am better for it.......

Why the disrespect for Jesus?

now i understand completely that most in this forum are 100% against jws and the watchtower.

what i don't understand is the disrespect that has been shown for such a sacred occasion that is the memorial (last supper).

whether you agree with jws or not, the fact is that the last supper has a lot of meaning for christians.

I agree with the Mav!!

Jesus has been disrespected. When the WT tells us that his sacrifice is only for 144,000 and not for all as the Bible indicates, the power of the “Good News” is lost.

When the WT goes beyond the sayings and teachings of Christ and sets up their own authority structure in place of his teachings (Prodical son, etc.,), that to is shameful....

i just stumbled onto this website whilst messing about on the internet and i've taken exception to quite a lot of what i've seen here.

incase you think i'm some irate jehovah's witness idiot who's been offended by the terrible blasphemy that he's read on here, i'm not.

i was raised a jw, but now i'm not one.. first of all, given the url, i thought this website was in some way affiliated with the jehovah's witness organization, whereas in reality it seems from the posts i've read that most people here are either former jehovah's witnesses or soon-to-be former jehovah's witnesses.

The WT has made a point to go from door to door to expose other religions and condemning all who refuse to join as non believers by withdrawing fellowship and waiting for God to act.

Most here acknowledge the Jws right to make public declaration. With that right, however, comes the duty of debate which we gladly accept. The WT has made many public claims that need a response. Unfortunately, the WT’s own members are disfellowshipped if they examine their own religion, and many here can’t just leave with honor.

This site is for open debate on any JW topic. How refreshing this site is, considering that the WT refuses such activity.

So Why Bother To Go At All, Then?

ok, so it's the memorial tonight, i believe.. i need some help with this one.

i know that jesus said to "keep doing this in remembrance of me", but, what i don't understand is this:.

just where does jesus say to "keep doing this, everybody turn up, but only one or two of you can take the emblems, everybody else must watch the proceedings and not join in"?.

What? Not have the TRUE slave class in attendance? Like the other chores the GB has privileged the Great Crowd with (door to door, building work, generating $$, stewarding, sheparding etc.,), because of their dwindling numbers, who would carry the emblems? Who would give the talk? Who would collect the money after the meeting? Who would lock the KH and turn off the lights?

The show must go on, with or with out the little flock................and don’t forget the blessings for doing this—we get to witness the little flock’s grand glorification from God for making us do all this work!! Who said slavery is abolished?
