  most americans agree that iraqs longtime dictator, saddam hussein, is a sadistic thug.

  according to wt there are many different levels of deadness.. 1. second death - about as dead as you can get.

  2. first death - as dead as the second one, except that their god has remembered you.

  3. the walking dead - that's all the nondub people walking around dead, but they don't know it.

  Solzhenitsyn's "The Gulag Archipelago 1918-1956"

  I was glued to my seat. Stalin was much worse than Hitler. The Jws are mentioned in this account too......

  "It was Article 58 of the broad-sweeping Soviet Criminal Code that resulted in the execution or imprisonment of the millions whom Stalin called counterrevolutionaries. Article 58 included acts ranging from crimes against the state (e.g. a prisoner weakened from illness or malnutrition could be shot for being unable to work), to consorting with foreigners to economic sabotage, called "wrecking." Examples of wrecking included a peasant's making a bad decision that resulted in crop failure or a factory employee's machine accidentally catching on fire.
  
  Aptly referred to by Solzhenitsyn as the Soviet Union's "sewerage disposal system," some of the horrifying methods utilized by the Stalin regime to rid itself of "undesirables" include those of a suspect being arrested while undergoing surgery for repair of an ulcer, men and women under interrogation being beaten and tortured and deprived of sleep for days on end, camp internees' dying from being deprived of food and water, and contracting typhus and other diseases from massive overcrowding and unsanitary conditions. Prisoners, denied bathroom facilities or even buckets, were forced to lay in their own urine and excrement or to eat their meager rations from unwashed pails which previously contained coal or human waste. Solzhenitsyn recounts the bizarre but true history of a man, mistakenly believing he was Tsar Mikhail (the successor to Nicholas II), who was given a long prison sentence for having composed and then having read a proclamation to the Soviet citizenry promising better times under his own reign. Most sickening of all, at least to me, were those Russian soldiers who became German POWs and who were imprisoned after the allied victory by their own government for allegedly humiliating their motherland by failing to elude their German captors."

  Ethical question

  hi all.......i've been around for a while, i love this site and the people therein, and appreciate the tremendous amount of work simon put's in (simon sorry couldn't make it sunday, but let me know about next time).

  i don't post much but take a avid interest in peoples views etc.

  after over 15 years of da'ing myself, i only reached these sites a few weeks ago, and since have engorged myself on the info about the org and their lying ways.

  my mother told us last night that her po told her we are disassociated.

  no announcement was made.

  she is upset, and i told her i would call him.. at first she didn't want me to do that, but later changed her mind.. so, i left a message on his answering machine.he will call me.........he always returns my calls.

  1 Star Review of Crisis of Conscience

  i have just finished reading crisis of conscience and thought it was great.

  never before has the gb been exposed as a bunch of men turning their personal opinions into law for millions like this book has.

  instead of being a group of men transformed by holy spirit into bible scholars devoutly pouring over the scriptures, they are just bumbling men, inferior to the great philosophers of humankind that they put down for their "empty teachings.

  Burning Man Trip Report

  it was a total blast!

  i camped at the vw bus camp for a second year (drove over 700 miles in my 67 split window).

  It was a total blast! I camped at the VW Bus Camp for a second year (drove over 700 miles in my 67 split window). Great people. The Burn this year was just awesome....Art work, Art cars, theme camps, dance clubs...it was all good. Where else can you view Stone Hedge made out of Twinkies!!!

  LDH, When you are ready to go, e-mail me, I have some good suggestions for a camp to stay at for your first time...you make good friends fast for a more enjoyable stay.

  Black Rock City is lighted by lamps that are placed on the street corners by the "Lamp Lighters." Some friends were stying at the Lamp Lighters camp, so one night I volunteered to "carry." That is, a long pole is placed behind your neck with about 12 lamps hanging from each side. We were given white robes and a head covering to wear while lighting the City (wow, I felt like I was in a bible drama!). After the lighting at dusk, we went back to the Lamp Lighter Camp for a great meal and open Bar. Sweet!

  One night, I hooked up with some x-jws and sang "Move Ahead" as loud as we could while partying down the street! hehe!

  Why do men have nipples???

  i always did wonder about this, i mean, what function do they have and further, if, just supposing that we are made in the image of god, does god himself have the equivalent of nipples?
