by sleepy injust a small request to you all.. britian is not england.. england is a part of britian, as is wales, scotland .a lot of what you may think is english is in fact welsh or scotish.. it is like me refering to the usa as new york .. if this carries on i'll have no other choice but to call the usa canada.

In the 70's I remember working LAx airport with my sister. We were holding up the WT & AW when Mohammad Ali (The Boxer) came around the corner. We looked up at him, in shock. He grabbed my sister’s Awake and singed the back of the magazine and handed it back to her! We proudly showed his signature to others at the Hall that Sunday....we got counseled for giving a “poor witness” and not giving him the magazine.....hell, we were only teenagers.....
In college we had to write to a Government Official about a concern we had as part of a project for Political Science. Being a good JW (even though I was attending college–did get some heat for it), I sent one of those JW brochures about war to President Reagan. I got a response thanking me for my views. I can’t tell if his signature was handwritten or printed (most likely printed).
If only I knew what I know now...........

Though I have never been to England, I have felt her “effects.” I have owned three MGB sports cars in the last twenty-five years, something about just sitting in one, top down and just driving....Also, the Music that came out of England in the 60's is still my favorite...Beatles, Stones, Animals..(Eric Burden lives in my area, very cool cat- one day I will tell some stories with Eric).
Englishmen: I get to sit at the First Round Table? A true honor! (does anything bad happen to him later??? hehe)

What would Emily Post say??
by ChakkaConned inlast week i received a wedding invitation in the mail from an elder's daughter whose getting married next month.
being on the outer social fringe of the congregation for 20 years and recently missing quite a few meetings, i was abit surprised to receive an invitation from her.
the invitation is to attend the wedding(only) at the kh without a mention of the reception which i found out is being held at a separate private location afterwards.
