by Simon inone of the few unfounded (i think) accusations that have been thrown at me by certain people is that i have caused 'untold damage' to the silentambs cause.. i don't know quite what this is supposed to mean or what i'm suppoed to have done or whether it is anything more than just 'mud' flung by people who find it easier to criticise rather than actually do anything.. over the last year (is it?
) i've been happy to promote the silentlambs cause and have hosted links to bills site and vidoes / sound files of tv programmes, radio reports, photo's of the march etc... as well as providing a place for people to meet and arrange things.
i hope it has been useful and helpful to at least some people.. if i have inadventantly held things up in some way then i unreservedly and wholeheartedly apologise.. all i can say is, i do my best and may not always get things right.

The accusation is truly unfounded and uncalled for. You have offered a forum to discuss this and any other JW event as they unfold. Your efforts have been a great benefit to all who want both sides of the JW story!
Notwithstanding the above, Silent Lambs has, over and over again, used your forum to communicate the latest news of his efforts.

i am going on oct 16-18. we are staying at the hotel luxor--the one with the sqhinx in the frount.
so, tell me in the short time we are there (this my boyfriend's first time in vegas too) what can we absolutly not miss??????????

Hit Treasure Island for their free outdoor Pirate Show! Two big ships are used for the show, fire, Pirates swinging from ropes, its tops and free!
Dont miss the Rio Buffet. It is about two city blocks long with every type of food you can think of! It is very visual too!
You have to go to Ceasers Palace Mall, it feels like you are really in Rome! Dont miss it! Unusual shops and romantic surroundings make this a must see!

Elders at my door
by Disposable Hero injust had 2 elders at my door coming to check up on me.
they asked how i was doing and usual chit chat.
i asked them about if they had seen dateline and about the child abuse problem.

JW's, no worse than anyone else?
by sleepy inas far as i can see most jw's no worse than anyone else on this planet.
humans are often in "conflict" with the opinions of other humans , believing their ideal is "right" while others are "wrong".in general the people that make up jehovahs witness, that is seperate from those leading ,are often trying to do their best to do what they think is right.this sometimes leads them to do things i believe are wrong even .but so do many other people and groups do things i think are wrong.am i the only one who is right?i think not.there are no rules to being human just choices, some based on what some feel to be scientific reality other on spiritual fealing other on something else.
who desides what is the best, is there even a best way of life?so while i belive jw's are factualy wrong and this causes them to do , what seem to me to be illogical things so do most other people just in different ways.edited by - sleepy on 1 october 2002 14:17:32.

To just base your cause and effects on just numbers does not demonstrate any conclusion to the supposition you have raised. One person affected is one too many in my book. Notwithstanding the above, membership numbers alone are not reflective of the total persons involved.
