  I know exactly how you feel. I'm not a confrontational person either, and am learning how to express my anger without "losing it". Honestly though, it doesn't sound to me like you "lost" it. So you called him on his dress and behavior...and for claiming to be a witness when you can see with your own eyes he's not a good one.

  In my opinion, you don't owe him an apology. He was out of line for reacting inappropriately to a little joke. As a witness, how many times does he have to hear jokes like that? I heard them all the time, and still do. After a while, I thought they were funny.

  Anyway, I'm proud of you. You called it like it was.

  so, i had left school and was embarking upon my theocratic career as a pioneer.... there was already an established pioneer group in the congregation it consisted of 4 or 5 older unmarried sisters in their late twenties/thirties, and a similar number of just-left-school young brothers.

  the two groups had practically nothing to do with each other.

  well, now i had a new gang, and i was immediately submerged in the new group culture.

  I too left school early to pioneer, which I did for 4 looooooong years, and I too had the dream of returning to school well into my twenties! I could relate to much of what you said...about the feelings of betrayal almost because the pioneer life wasn't all it had been built up to be. You told it very well. Took me right back there. I can't wait to hear more about you and your good friend, Hillary.

  The Unforgiven Sinners

  i can now see clearly why only sinners who get baptised in association with the watch tower bible & tract society inc. printing business can be handed over to satan/disfellowshipped.. it's because the blood of christ covers the sins of "new ones".

  once you become and old one, by dedicating your life to the publishing company through baptism, jesus's shed blood means jack shit.

  for the old ones have to plea for forgiveness/reinstatement of their sins in the form of writing a letter , to be approved by those who judged and condemmed them.. from the elder's flocking book.

  It doesn't make any sense. They speak with a forked tongue. They claim not to be judges of men, that's Jesus' job, right? But what the hell do they routinely do? Judge people. Apparently they can also determine who the blood of Christ covers. That's a pretty tall order for a bunch of imperfect men.

  my wife and i attended our last meeting last night.

  it wasn't so bad, since it was bookstudy and they threw a little party for us afterwards - we are moving to wa from pa next week.

  we will never set foot in a kingdom hall again - feels great.

  Man, reading your post made me relive my own feelings of exhiliaration at knowing I would never set foot in a Kingdom Hall again. I feel free all over again. You wait and see, probably for a solid year you and the wife will look at each other on meeting days and just grin that you aren't going. Then you'll do a little dance!

  flying down the interstate, on my way to class (late again!

  ) when i notice this strange smell in my van...gets worse the closer i get to school.

  so i turn around and head back down the interstate towards home, knowing that something is wrong (i'm smart that way).

  i've been posting here for a few months now but i suddenly realized that i don't say a whole lot.

  so i thought i would tell you all a little about myself.. i was born in a little village on the base of the andes mountains called urumbamba in peru.

  my father, a local witch doctor left my mother when i was born because he thought my mother had given birth to the devil.
