I'm SO sorry about your kitty. I absolutely love cats. Have had them all my life. I've lost several of them over the years and it never gets any easier. But I wouldn't give up the companionship for anything. And I think, they lived a good life with me, and were happy. So in my opinion it was worth it.

this is just a few thoughts that i have regarding the subject of anonimity.
yes, i am making this post after being in the chat room with several others including kent and prisca.
it seemed to me that kent posted prisca's pic mainly out of sheer mischievousness and was quite taken aback at her very real distress at having her identity exposed.

Nice post. I happen to agree with your thoughts about our emotional growth being hindered by our fears of being discovered. It was certainly true in my case.
I also agree with some of the comments from others about the cost they would have to bear. Like all personal growth, it comes if and when we are ready for it. And of course it is a personal decision. If we are the ones who have to pay the price, then we should be the ones deciding the right time.
I thought good points were made by all.

many us who still have memories about this tragedy that will go away easily.

Welcome back, and yes thank you for sharing your experiences.
Many people have been saying things will never be the same for us again after Sept 11...I think perhaps they're right. In some ways it's like passing from childhood into adulthood. There's no going back. We have to change somewhat to deal with the new times we live in.
I am glad your wife and sister were safe. I too am so sorry for those who didn't make it out in time. I hope they know how much they are missed by their families and friends.

two of this board's, and h2o's before it,long time and well known participants have fallen on desperately hard times.
if they could set up pay pal accounts and enough of us could contribute say $20 - $50 per month it would help them though their hardship.. these two people have helped many escape from the wts and i know for sure have given money and other material help to those in need, even when they could not afford it.. if you can help, send an email to: [email protected].

I just found this thread today, and after reading through the entire 5 pages, all I see is discussion of how much money can be sent. I would also like to quietly send something for both of them, but I do not want to make an oath of a monthly commitment. I would send it TODAY if I knew where!
BTW, please take no offense at that Trilo and Essie. Your motives are excellent and I'm sure your help much appreciated, but let's focus on what we can do TODAY. I will check the board when I get home from work to see if an address has been posted.
