Yes. When I know that I'm good, I feel good about it, but don't want to tell people. I rather want them to find out for themselves. If I find some need of improvement, then I would work on it.

The JWs believe that Jesus is "a god" (note the use of lower case), not The Almighty God. Since the Bible says he is in a god's form.

Come on~ I got depressed when I was a teenager because I couldn't get the music education as freely as I wanted, and I loved and still love performing music. But I do know that I'm not a gay/lesbian.
It seems like dmouse's son is going through what I went through years ago. I've seen gay people who are doctors, lawyers, and etc.

He has very strong opinions and an uncrushable resolve to make the best of his life. He loves singing, dancing and acting and is trying his best to develop these talents in order to fulfil his dream of working in the performing arts eventually. This has not gone down well with his Mum, or the elders. It was arranged for him to have weekly bible studies with an elder...who tried his best to re-inculcate my son and persuade him to abandon his love of performing arts.
Ah, this brings back to me a memory when I was studying with jws. They tried to have me give up my career as a pianist. When I received good complements from people, esp. from one of the very prominent piano teachers in the country, they told me "not to get puffed up with a sugar coated comments."
The irony is that this jw sister later quit her pioneering, and pursued "a worldly career."
dmouse, keep supporting your son. You are his father, and have a right to be present when they want to have a private meeting with your son since he's minor.

As StinkyPantz has said the JWs DO believe Jesus is the Lord. They just don't believe him as the Father. You know, the One whom Jesus pray to.

I think I read somewhere that Vicki's case WAS reported 6 months later to the authority. Did I misread? Do you think that's going to be a problem as far as forced-not-to-go-to-the-authority?
I do hope things go well from now on for Vicki. It's been a long journey.
Oh, by the way last year I saw an episode of "The Practice". There the jury awarded the plaintiff millions of $ for the damage in a civil suit. But the judge ignored the jury's decision, and made his own amount which was much lower. In another episode the defendant made apeal, and it went on and on. Can these happen in the Canadian judicial court? I hope not.

i'm not sure how to put this news gently to the community here, but regarding my post yesterday regarding chantelle.. thankyou for all of your kind messages and warmth displayed on your parts.. chantelle was only 16 when disfellowshipped.
only 18 years old with her whole life in front of her.
she took her own life this morning at 0400hrs.. i am so sorry not to have been in a better position to get your letters to her in time.. take care all of you & kindest regards.

so....today i asked a few questions to my girlfriend.
one thing led to another and my plan of not overwelming her with too many questions kind of went down the toobs.
questions about birthdays, holidays, john 1:1, why is it so important to stress the word donation, ect, ect.

But she might say, "But the Watchtower said they weren't sure." I've heard that from someone who was supposed to be smart, and it was the ultimate excuse for the WTS. (rolling my eyes ) But anyone with half of alive brain would know that it was not just a suggestion - it was something more than that.
I've heard that people sold their houses and businesses and even refused medical treatment. If the WTS is half decent, WHERE WERE THEY WHEN PEOPLE WERE MAKING SERIOUS SPECULATION? They NEVER discouraged their members making unnecessary sacrifice which many of them happened to be quite serious. Well, I take it back. Maybe they thought it was necessary for the jws selling and sacrificing their family, jobs, and even health for their organization.

hope you all had a super marvellous weekend just gone, spent some of my time saturday and sunday, just floating quietly on my boat on the quiet and serenely beautiful waters of the helford river's creeks, stunningly beautiful it was, wow!!
came into work this morning, monday, as bright as a button, though straightaway received some bad news about a young lady from a fellow co-worker enabler at self direction community project.
Last week, the JW parents of this young lady, burn't all of her baby and young childhood pictures right in front of her, telling her further that she was now considered completely cut off from her natural family.
My god! What has she done to deserve this? No matter what, they shouldn't have done this to their own child. Is she adopted by any chance? My goodness! This is awful! Talk about how unloving Christian conduct!
Celtic, tell this young lady that I'm thinking of her, and (with evil smile) that she should tell all her parents' RVs about what they did.
