I have to say that the teacher was WRONG. I wonder if she/he was from other culture, who do not see American culture as a real one or maybe he/she was expecting American kids dressed up like Amish.

'Panic At Bethel' (written 6/03)

The Watchtower Society is really nothing more than a tin-pot dictatorship Soviet style
I thought they were more like North Korea. Just like the North Koreans worship thier leader and the party, jws worship their organization.

Thank you, sf, for your post. It'll be interesting to see how my mom would react toward me. I have always had that little fear that someday she might tell me that she would shun me. Now, I just want to get away from all these watchtower thing. Argh!!!!

Who doesn't follow the "politics" and feuds on this board?
by berylblue ini am so in the dark.
i do not know what's going on and, quite frankly, i don't care to.
perhaps there is bliss in ignorance.

My apologies to everyone
by TipToe ini didn't know this was an " ex" board...i'm very embarrassed right now.
i didn't mean to hurt anyone here especially if some of you have been victims of sexual abuse.
i was enraged yesterday by what i saw on tv and felt i had to say something...wrong board loll ...so sorry

I believe this board is for anyone who wants to discuss about anything jw, whether you are a current jw or not. However, all jehovah's witnesses are told not to engage in the internet forum by their big brothers. So that's why we are mostly ex-jws.

Jehovah's Witnesses Are Pedophile Protectors!!!!!
by TipToe inyou people make me want to throw up!!!!
in the last 2 years, i have met three people ages 18, 25 and 34, two girls and one guy who are ex-jehovah's witnesses ( thank god!
) and who have told me their horror stories concerning being molested in your congregation and no action was taken against their aggressors.

No harm done, disgusted! Welcome to the board!
Just like you I was so disgusted by the watchtower, I disassociated myself from them last summer. What a relief!!!

Your Online Persona
by Xena ini saw a thread recently that asked if you were different from your online persona, most people answered to varying degrees "no".
that made me wonder though how do you view yourself and how do other people view you?
what kind of a person do you feel you project?

I'm the same as how I am in here. Some people might find it boring, but that's how I am.

The Bible clearly states that Jesus smelled like frankincense and myrrh.
So then does he smell like Eternity by Calvin Kline? Or more like Contradiction?

Do you regret ever getting baptized
by ikhandi inthousand of witnesses do it every year and for what they believe are good reasons.
i did it because i was pressured by elders.
its interesting to note how elders can target young people into committing their life to something they really know nothing about.

I regret that I did it in the jw organization.
