You Know,
What do you want out of the WTS? You said that they need to reform. In what way?
given your reaction to mr. andersons letter of resignation recently posted to this board, which seemed sympathetic, i would like to ask four questions of you, which of course you are at liberty not to answer.
1 ) how do you personally feel about the fact that the wts is now moving to disfellowship mr. anderson for writing that letter?.
2) if mr. anderson were to begin posting to this board, how would you view him?.
You Know,
What do you want out of the WTS? You said that they need to reform. In what way?
peter once wrote concerning paul's writings, saying: "in them, however, are some things hard to understand" that being the case, it is understandable why jehovah opened his long-running dialogue with israel, through isaiah, by saying: "my own people have not behaved understandingly.
" further, in that 1st chapter, at verse 10, jehovah addresses the leaders of his people saying: "hear the word of jehovah, you dictators of sodom.
give ear to the law of our god, you people of gomorrah.
ha ha ha ha minimus, you are funny and so cute! I love your dancing red dot. ;-)
You Know, I agree with you. But what does "waiting on Jehovah" mean to you? To me it was ignoring the victims, calling them apostates, praising the WTS as "faithful and discreet slave" class, and go out door to door to recuit more new members. I couldn't do that. I couldn't tell people to join the WTS. It was a matter of principle both moral and biblical.
Maybe all this publicity might be a way of Jehovah punishing the WTS. Who knows? ;-)
hi everyone.. my name is caspian, i am an elder in a congregation in england.. i have been reading this forum for about 12 months, never having the confidence to log in.. however after all the information that has come to light in the recent weeks, i feel that i need to start coming to terms with the crisis that i now feel.. i am a third gen jw, and been an elder for 15 years, my family whom i love dearly are all naive fully committed jw's.. please if any current or ex elders in a similar situation care to make any good advice.
please help.. sincere regards.

Welcome, caspian!
Just like kat7302 said, I, too, joined this forum to heal. Let's say it's like a support group for me. You can vent out all your feelings here. Some of us may not like it, but some of us understand. Have a good time!
So tell us other secrets of the WTS. ;-)

hi to eveyone,.
i was d'fd 18 months ago, i was prepared for the shunning within my family and the borg of all my friends (as i never associated with "worldly people") but i have been totally blown away with how nobody cares about my 2 young children!!.
my kids have not heard from their aunties and uncle since i was thrown out in feb '01.
It is strange that the elders didn't want to listen to your friends and family. Did you plea to them as well? If your children wnat to go back to KH, your family or friends should assist you. Have you called them up and have asked? Did you know that you can even call the elders and ask for assistance, too? They might want YOU to come to the KH. But still they shouldn't ignore your children's request.
i sent my mom a letter not too long ago telling her that i wanted my family back.
well, i got a very unexpected response.
she basically said "no".
{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{SP}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} I'm sorry to hear that. ;-(
Have you tried to talk to her at least over the phone?
For my case when I talked to her over the phone, first she sounded like she was going to shun me. Then I cried like a baby. ;-) I asked her, "Mom, you're not going to even talked to me? But I love you so much, mom." and I sobbed more. I couldn't help myself. ;-( Then she said that she would be very disapointed. Notice that she didn't say that she was going to shun me. Next thing I knew, every Saturday I had to have dinner with the whole family. She insisted. She said that she is hoping I would change my mind someday.
My mom is the only JW in my family. Maybe that made my case easier. I don't know whether you are DF'd or DA'd, and since I wasn't DF'd due to my serious sin ( ;-p), even other JWs are willing to stay close to me.
Talk to her, SP. I believe there is a very special bond between mother and daughter ( I'm assuming you are a woman ). I think my mom was pressured or convinced ( at that time ) by other JWs in her congregation to be tough on me because I know there is NO WAY my mom is going to abandon me just like that. It might be the same with your mom, too. Someone or some people might have coached your mom how to respond to you. It is so easy to pretend through writing, but not when you are talking. ;-)
Give her a call today. I know a sister in our KH whose daughter got DF'd. According to other publishers, her daughter went "all the way" to be rebellious. But she still keeps in touch with her daughter. They even go out and have fun. Once she told me that they went out all night and had so much fun together. She also said that she knew some parents shun their DF'd or DA'd children, and that she would never do that. Her entire family is JW so you know what is like. I know she loves her daughter very much. I'm sure your mom loves you so much, too.
Good luck! ;-)
the first memory i carry is your smile .
the oldest emotion i bear is my love for you .
you would have died for me .
gravedancer,
Have you talked to your mom about your feeling?
how many stupid elders and co's have you known???
years ago, one co used to stop at music stores so that he could sit behind a piano and play beethoven.this was during field service!
i knew of a stupid elder that knew a father who had been an elder and was deleted for immorality with his daughters, and this stupid elder wanted to recommend him to be an elder again!!!
No problem, minimus!
He had the car stopped to play piano? Wow, I wonder if that was his passion. I wonder if the WTS told him, "Forget about it!" ;-)
you know i was very content to just sit back on my dark throne of fire and let everything fall into place but jesus christ had to come along and mess things up for me.. i saw his post about how the jehovahs witnesses are not affiliated with him and god and yes it is true they are right.
for the record the group known as jehovahs witnesses are under my command and do my bidding.
as you well know they use fear to convert their members.
T.D.
Since you are a "Newbie" at this board, maybe you should meet J.C. first. Where is J.C. anyway???? ;-)
now that you're out & free of the wts, (borg) what are your future plans and/ or dreams?
where do you see yourself 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 years from now?
how many are happy with their carreers/jobs?
CAPP, congratulations on your new life. I've always thought getting a higher education was nothing to do with being "worldly" or being "enmity" with God.
For me I do love my job. In fact I would keep it until I die. ;-) I know some very active piano teachers in their 80s; they are still working full-time. Since I'm not a JW anymore, I would like to be more active in performing as well.
I also would like to get married and have children in the future. And I would like to have a nice cozzy house where the whole family can gather for dinner several times a year. Having a nice garden would be good, too. I'm living in an apartment. I do have several pots of plants including tomato, strawberry, thyme, rosemary, chives....etc.
And I would like to live as a decent person showing a good Christian quality.
I hope my last comment doesn't offend anyone. ;-)
local elder called tonite, with a witness on the phone to ask if it is true we were smoking ?
we said yes, and we know who told on us.
it was a ms who was at the club just last week with another woman, not his wife of course, while she was at the meeting.
O.K. Um....but please reconsider your smoking habit. It is not good for your body and especially FOR YOUR SKIN!!! :-O ;-)
