I MAY HAVE HIT BOTTOM
by BONEZZ ini thought i'd hit it several times before...as i have been thru the divorce over the past couple of years...lost all my so-called friends...lost my belief in what i thought was the "truth"....and now my own loving daughter, being the good little dub she is has told me she doesn't want me to walk her down the aisle at her wedding.
she told me today at lunch.

First, {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{BONEZZ}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} I am very sorry about your situation. I'm sorry Bonezz for I have to say this, but I think your daughter is .........oh, forget it. I'm not going to say it. This is a matter of principle.
PandaJ wronte:
Not trying to be mean, but if you raised your child as JW her whole life, you raised her to act exactly as she is. I am not saying you are totally to blame, but just because you decided to leave the JW's doesn't mean everyone else you know is required to do it, or throw away their beliefs, especially ones that you taught them.
Bonezz is not asking his daughter to leave the org. or "throw away their beliefs". A FATHER WANTS TO WALK HIS LITTLE GIRL DOWN TO THE AISLE! I believe and was told by an elder, too, that this kind of situation is one of those "matter of conscience" thing.
Have the WTS changed their policy on this???? This is so inhumane. I bet they don't talk about this kind of thing to their return visits.
Bonezz, NEVER EVER think that you have hit the bottom.

Well, as you may know the SF Bay Area is notorious for the housing cost.
3-bed/2-bath house costs about $400,000.00 - 500,000.00. If you have a house, you have to pay the property tax every year. And you have to have the home owner's insurance as well. This is why people like me would pay $2000/month rent. Many people here in the Bay Area spend nearly 50% of their income to pay for either mortgage or rent.
sigh........did I mention that the gasoline price is the highest in the nation as well: $1.80 per gallon and up.

The highest that I heard is in CA at 8.25% (correct me if I am wrong, Californians).
It depends on the county. In San Francisco County, it is 8.5%.
I have to say I disagree with JanH on the housing cost. (Sorry!) A studio costs about $800/month in where I live, and it's more expensive in San Francisco. I heard that when the economy was booming in SF an attic room costed $2000/month!
I've been looking for a house to rent. 3-bedroom with 2-bath is now between $1800 - 2200 per month. And they are not that big, either (under 1500sqf.)

Silentlambs March: Controversal Idea?
by Nanoprobe inthis is a controversial post because it relates to your personal grooming & dress.
problem: jr brown & watchtower have managed to create an image problem for bill bowen & silentlambs.
in jw land he isn't a victims advocate, he is simply a deceitful apostate.

One thing we do not want is violence at the march.
As Nano said we should "look" like them. I'm sure the whole world is going to watch us. Maybe we should all dress up nicely. Let the people say, "These seem to be a nice group of people. Maybe the Silent Lambs do have issues," rather than "No wonder they got DF'd."
I really wish I could go (I'll be moving ). But those who are planning to attend the meeting, please remember that this is a peaceful march, not a riot. Those jws think we are monsters. Let's show them how wrong they are.
