  i turned to this website looking for encouragement.. i thought it was a genuine jw chat site.. what do i find?.

  most who write here, don't belive in the jw teachings.. most are complainers and apostate.. does any one know were i can find a genuine jw site?

  thought you all would enjoy this.. i went to a b'day party for a friend who is a bible-thumper in the worst way!

  (10x worse than most jw).. i'm sitting around like a zombie while everyone is talking about how "blessed" they are to "know christ" blah blah blah blah blah.. then my interest got peaked as one of the women started quoting scripture talking about how the reason her life is blessed is that her great great grandmother was a russian mennonite blah blah blah and the bible says that god will bless your offspring if you come to know him.

  blah blah blah.. so i start asking a few well placed questions like "well what does that mean for the poor muslim sop whose great great grandmother was a muslim?

  You miss many points here. I was laughing at Lisa's reaction to your inane fundamentalism,as I too think it's funny.
  I'm not a jw nor a christian period,so I don't know what you not believing in jw doctrine is supposed to mean.
  I have no use for crusaders and proselytizers and their messages. Simple.......Have a nice day.Tina

  Sin, Mercy and the Watchtower Way

  its strange now how i find such a huge contrast between the words of the gospel accounts of jesus and the interpretation of those words by the wts.

  to me it seems there is little of the gospel jesus in the wts attitude to sinning and to sinners.. i recently reread lukes account of when jesus went to the home of the pharisee, simon.

  during the meal a woman of the city, a sinner, bathed jesus feet with her tears and dried them with her hair.

  Hi CPiolo,
  When I was still attending kh,AA or other 12 step groups were a big no-no. Their version of 'treatment' was reading off a few scrips.
  I don't know if it's 'allowed' now.....but seems the brothers had a problem with the 'higher power' concept(at least at my kh). They missed the whole point that if a JW attended AA,their hp would have been Jah anyway......and of course Im sure they feared the open sharing that goes on in that type of meeting.
  I can just imagine a JW sharing wts policy and getting challenged on the abusive ,controlling nature of it. Just some thoughts,hugs,Tina

  I do want to apologize for my knee-jerk emotive reaction to your post.
  I do want to thank you for the time and work you spent on providing a place for us when we needed it.
  WHile many things have gone awry,you are never a worthless human being. I see your hurt and anger.
  In friendships risks are always involved because sharing must be honest,open and deeper that the superficial niceties and comments.
  While I disagree with your thoughts,and your assessments of some people, I appreciate that you disclosed them.
  Relationships whether online or r/l mean we expose ourselves,make ourselves vulnerable. WHile this can be a great demand,it also offers great rewards.
  We each must accept our responsibility for half the realtionship. In this way only can we support each other.

  Uncle Elder Comes To Town

  on the way to work mom mentioned that her brother uncleb(elder in another state) is coming to visit and stay with her for a bit.. seems like his best and long time friend co sal infantino is taking a short vacation from the 'circuit work' and is going to be here at the same time.

  of course they have time planned together.. what i found interesting is that i have been invited over to 'talk' with him???

  ?hmmmmmmmmmm considering that up until now i have persona non grata during his visits.. any suggestions how i can slip some silentlambs and other info into his suitcase?

  Anthings possible,,,,,maybe they don't want families and friends exposed to 'apostates'? Without the restraining nasty label,many have the freedom to speak with us? Soooo maybe to keep what numbers they still have.....After seeing the jc's machinations from those who have experienced it(my heart goes out to all who have) I think of the GB/policymakers as a malignant tumor and the jc's, the cells that metastasize in other parts of 'the body'.
