Yeap, I was offered to tour with Charlie Daniels and his band, back in the 80's when they were big. I did his wife's hair and make-up and would have the band as clients also. I turned it down, why, because I would miss too many meetings!!!

Jobs you couldn't have

having a tight control over us, the watchtower teachings told us what jobs we could or couldn't have.
did you lose a great job opportunity because of their control over you?

We moved to a new area, bought a house in the country to be closer to CC's office. I left a good business *hair stylist and make-up artist*. I haven't worked in about 2 years. We could always use the extra money, but now I find myself in this comfort zone that I don't want to get out of. I don't want to go back to doing hair and make-up. After 20 years in the business I'm burned out. I'd like to find something to do to make alittle extra money, but I don't have a clue of what I could do! I don't have the training to do anything else, and I really don't want to go somewhere and work for minimin wage. Everyone seems to work these day's and it's hard to *not* feel guilty for staying home! Even though I get bored at times, I still like the fact that if there's something that I want to do, I can do it and I don't have to check a work schedule. I also get some ragging about not working. I don't know if it's because we don't have children, and people feel it isn't necessary that I stay home! Has anyone ever found themselves in this kind of position? In a place where you don't know what to do? You like being at home, but feel you're missing something by not working? Can't help but feel quilty because you're not working? Feel like you're in this comfort zone and don't want to step out of it? Could I be going through a midlife crisis! Can I get a passion for something out there? And if so, how do I do it!!!

Same thoughts here on that, what is normal??? Didn't really know there was a normal!!! I don't think it really exist. Just live your life, be kind to yourself and treat others the way the you would want to be treated. Life is good, enjoy it!!!

Should I continue to support Bill Bowen?
by Gamaliel into whom it may concern, .
i have contributed financially to the cause of silentlambs.org and have, to a smaller extent, even promoted the website.
it is difficult enough to fathom the depth of hurt heaped on humankind, but impossible for me to understand how such suffering can be compounded with injustice, as i read experiences on silentlambs.org.

Daughter in Pain
by Undecided inmy daughter just called and is in bad pain.
she had an operation to try and stop it, but the doctor couldn't see any reason for it, other than stress.
she hurts in the lower section of the abdomen and rectum.

It could be endometriois also. Same kind of pain I had and nothing showed up on ultra sounds or x-rays. They found it when they went in with a scope.
Sure hope things are okay with her! Keep us posted on what you found out, k?

In shock.
by lulu inlast night(tuesday) an announcement was made in our congregation that my husband and i had disassociated ourselves.
we did no such thing(for personal reasons) nor was any document whatsoever given to the local elders or anyone else.
nevertheless, that is what happened, apparently no letter of resignation is required.

Menatron, funny thing, I have thought about doing that very thing, but then, I figured to prove them wrong, then I'd have to *show* that I want to be a witness. See that's where they get you, they know you have no intentions in hell of wanting to be a hover witnit, so it would end up being a big cluster fuck waste of time. So why bother, ya know! I'd still be shunned in the end, because I've stopped going to the hall and doing all that hover stuff. So really it's a no win situation.
Personally, I've moved on. If I see my hover witnit family, I'm kind and leave it at that. You love the family you've got left, appreciate the friends you've got and simply feel pity for the ones that are stilled brainwashed in the borg. Maybe one day they'll see the borg for the bullshit that it is and come out! One thing for sure, I'll not shun them like they have me, I'll meet them with open arms.

Mrs. Sharkita, yeap, I believe it's just a matter of time! Somebody is going to go postal on of these days and it's not going to be pretty! Personally, I would hate to see that happen, but like you said, they have pissed off alot of people!

I saved some lives today! Found a TRACT
by Beans2 intoday i was working in the subway here in toronto and i looked over at a public phone and i saw what seemed to be a tract, so over i went and yes it was!
mysteriously placed so one could see it, no doubt counted as a placement and a few hours on the report.
so later on i am walking up the stairs and again i see this piece of paper, yet another tract of a different name.. so by taking these tracts i believe i may have saved someones life from the pain and suffering we have all been through.
