I talked to Karla this evening. She said that she and Paula were hanging in there. The funeral is Sat. the 14th at 2:00 at the Kingdom Hall in Pulaski Tn. Right now they are really busy with getting things in order, but they said that they would post as soon as things slowed down alittle. They sure appreciate all the love and warm wishes from everyone.

I got permission to post their addresses in case anyone wanted to send a card.

shunners in hospital

what noidea is going thru got me to thinking what i'd do if one of my family members who shuns me, that's most of them, were really sick and in the hospital.

several years ago my daughter was really sick and in the hospital.

i didn't go see her and i've often wondered whether i did the right thing.

Big Tex, you made a good point! Blood doesn't make you family! I've got family, friends, neighbors that would be there for me at the drop of a hat. I've come to realize that alot of families, *non j.w. families* are torn apart for many different reasons at times, some reasons being drugs, disagreements and so on. Jehover Witnits are not the only people that face family conflicts, in fact, I don't think I know of one family that is completely free of some type of disfucntion that their dealing with. I've learned to take what I've got and be thankful for that!

Chris, was wondering if you're from the Tennessee area. I knew a Vance family years ago, was wondering if there was any relation between them and you. I might even know you! Noidea and Myself grew up together at the same hall. Does the name Bowman ring a bell?????

Our Mother is in a coma :(

we ask that you keep our mother and our family in your prayers.

we posted a few weeks ago that our mother had been diagnosed with pancreas cancer and was given 6-18 months with chemo.

so im sitting here on a thursday night (oh my god, i'm missing the service meeting) and downloading songs from limewire like september by ewf and thinking about old friends and going skating and having a big table of people after the meeting at the shoneys and laughing loud and cruising down ashley street and just having a damn good time.

and i'm po'd because the superchicken theme song won't download and its like my favorite.. and i have tomorrow off and i'm going to buy my books from next semester, just 2 classes, hoping there ain't no overload.. and if chris and lisa and julie and robyn and kenny were here we'd be having a blast but instead saturday john and jason and patrick and thom and me will be having a blast playing the new games i bought today.. here's to remembering old friends fondly and creating new memories with new friends.. god bless you all, i may just make it.. snuggly hugglies.. joel

Ice Storm In The South

what a night it was.

here in the piedmont triad area of north carolina we got hit pretty hard with an ice storm.

WOW Between, you sure did get hit!!! We got hit too, but not as bad as you! I'm in Nashville Tn. and it's all starting to melt. We got about 2 inches of snow. It was so pretty, but just didn't last. I love snow, but I think if I got hit with it as bad as some folks did, I wouldn't be so crazy about it!

I talked to Carla and Paula eariler. They were getting ready to go back to the hospital. I felt so bad for them that I had to lay down, didn't wake up until just a few minutes ago, I slept for over 3 hours! Brought back some memories from when my mother was sick. I feel so bad for them. It's soooo hard.

DeDe, I'm like you, I've also been crying. It breaks my heart.

well i don't have alot of pics cuz my camera is currently not working, but elsewhere, who was good enough to come and eat with us took some good shot of our food and us laying around doing nothing.

thanks else a lot...we hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed our feast.
