How old were you when you got Baptised?
by El Kabong ini was 13 at the time.
i wanted to get baptised before the end came in 1975. .
back then, 13 was borderline young for baptism, but from what i've been reading, some are now getting baptised as young as 9 or 10. .

Can You Believe Bible Prophecy?
by Blueblades in.
many believe that between a fourth and a third of the bible concerns prophecy.. many believe that history shows that god's unerring prophecies of the kingdoms and empires of,egypt, isreal, judah, babylon, persia, greece and rome all came to pass in minute detail.. if his prophecies came true in centuries past, can you----should you-----believe in bible prophecy today?.
btw.we are not talking about the society but the many other religious teachers and scholars who swear by the fulfillment of bible prophecy.. blueblades

I believe it's a fairy tail.
Or should I say a horror story.

Goodbye to the Board
by dedalus inim leaving the board, and am compelled to announce it.
but there are a few things i want to say first -- some recollections that (perhaps incongruously) seem germane to my leave-taking of jw.com.
1) my first post was also my first thread, written in the summer of 2000 (on h2o, actually).

I said the exact same thing around Christmas, and I have seemed to have found my way back for some odd reason. Can't seem to quiet let go, just yet.
If you decide to stay gone, do take care of yourself and I wish you all the best. =:o)

The pain has kicked in
by Pistoff inhi all and thanks for being here and caring.
i have had a bad day today.
most of you have heard me rant and rave about my thirty years in the borg, not yet over.

It does get eaiser. You pain will turn to pity. It use to hurt me so bad when one of my family members would ignore me, but now it doesn't bother me. I have pity for them now. They really think they are doing the right thing. I have my own family now. Some of them may not have the same blood running through them as me, but it's still family.

My father is dead
by cruzanheart intoday i found out that my dad committed suicide, probably on sunday sometime.
his body was found today and the plano police department called me.
i am numb and grieving, kind of relieved for a lot of reasons, and very very sad.

Dear Nina,
I lost my dad to suicide six years ago. I'm so sorry that you are going through this. Please take care of yourself right now. Even though words don't give much comfort right now, I hope you feel the love and support that is going your way. Even though suicide is a tragady, you will survive this. It just takes time. Allow yourself to work through all the emotions. I know exactly what you are going through, and though it is difficult to lose someone to death, suicide has seemed to effect me differently than other loses in my life. It leaves alot of baggage to sort through. It's tough. But, know, that you are a survivor and you will survive this. I'm glad to see that you have a wonderful supportive husband. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't had CC. When you are ready, email me and send me your number so I can call you. Sometimes it helps to talk about it with someone that has been though the same thing.

IF I WERE KING. . .
by drahcir yarrum ini don't much care for the thought of going to war.
i know that it is necessary sometimes and this thing with iraq may just be one of those times.
but, it seems to me that a much simpler solution to the terrorist threat problem would be for the united states to issue the following warning to the muslim world.

Please forgive me.....I didn't mean to
by Tatiana in..get anyone in trouble.
what i thought was a good idea....seemed to be a bad one.
innocently, i wanted to send each person here a valentine card.

I'd really like for us to drop this. I'm sure we would all agree that this has blown way out of control. It has been a big misunderstanding.
Tatiana, I understand now that your intentions were good. I was having a bad day and your email hit me the wrong way. At the time, I didn't know who you were and why you would be sending CC and Valentines card. I wish I had never sent you that email and I apologize for upsetting you.
I hope we can put this behind us and move forward.
Sincerely, Tink
