mentally i am completely cleansed of this thing, but still have to maintain a minimal involvement for spouse and family.

Welcome my friend! Yes, many are waking up but have to stay quiet. You and I are on the same boat and although is agonizing to sit through a meeting or convention, the idea is to plan your exit carefully.

No matter what moves you take, this religion is setup for the player to lose and the house will always win. What I mean is, we will still lose family, friends, and our reputation. You have to tally up your losses and just prepare for what you will lose. If you chose wisely, the outcome can be a fulfilling life... and who knows? maybe leave a legacy behind.

thousands of animals have been slaughtered at a religious ceremony in nepal.

the gadhimai festival takes place every 5 years.

apparently some imaginary deity can be bribed by the sight of blood.. before getting too judgemental does it remind you of anybody?.

I read that article a few days ago and it just shows us how ignorant people can be. Now imagine if we could see these same pictures of Moses and his cronies doing the same immoral ritual. No blood can atone or pay for our mistakes in life, NO SACRIFICE. It reminds of what Sam Harris said, "Christianity is the worship of human sacrifice"
