  got approached by a brethren the other day who started to engage me in conversation about christianity i thought at first that he was a gb witness but turned out not when i explained to him that i thought he was one he said no no not one of those that lie and decieve he represented a true religion that only those that follow will get ever lasting life etc they apparently stick to first century teachings and when i said followers of the governing body also claim this so he explained how they differ;.

  brethren - 1/ clergy dont lie about not having paid clergy as they actually dont have paid clergy the only exception being missionary`s who are sponsored.

  2/ neck ties-not worn as they are pagan.

  that is the reason the watchtower leaders are desperately trying to protect their indoctrinated supporters from being influenced by the critics.. it will get harder and harder to recruit in countries where the internet is easily accessible...the watchtower has no control over the public like it does the indoctrinated jws.

  ..any interested person can very easily google and learn the truth about the watchtower cult before a 'return visit' can be made.

  although most jws would be afraid to go into 'apostate ' sites, more and more are waking up to the truth about the watchtower , their interest triggered by different reasons such as the child abuse cover up, the constantly changing doctrines,the downsizing etc.

  Very well said, they are having problems recruiting new quality people and the younger ones are not afraid of technology and are hungry for knowledge.

  In my congo we have JW's with professional careers such as:

  • VP's in the banking industry
  • Regional Managers in manufacturing
  • Managers in the technology industry
  • Nurses
  • Supervisors in many different industries

  All these JW's make healthy contributions, just to mention a few examples, just from 10 JW's we get almost $1,500 each month and we have 150 publishers. (I know this because I am the account servant) But all this money comes from smart people who are die hard JW's but have a career, how will the WT survive with poor quality people that can’t move things forward financially?

  The young ones are dropping like flies in my area and the adults brothers are not reaching out. The WT has a big problem in their hands and the leaders know it.

  Although most JWs would be afraid to go into 'apostate ' sites, more and more are waking up to the truth about the Watchtower , their interest triggered by different reasons such as the child abuse cover up, the constantly changing doctrines,the downsizing etc. ..this is evident in sites such as Jehovahs-Witnesses.net which has newbies joining regularly,many of them being active JWs ...including elders and ministerial servants...these Awakened JWs of the Conscious Class are also doing a lot of damage to the Watchtower by undermining it from the inside in many ways including leaking important information on the Internet...whatever the case, the Watchtower is under siege from the inside and outside.

  What is definition of a true friend, once outside the cult?

  after leaving the cult of jw's or waking up to ttatt, it is a struggle to trust people again.

  i am personally starting from scratch although i am still in.

  each moment i spend with my current jw friends, i know they are all smiles and loving towards me because of my good status with the wt.. outside a cult you still find fake people and it is also a struggle to find true friends and it is even worst when we've been hit hard from people we used to trust and care for.. .

  I would say that making a million friends is nothing special. What is special is to make a friend who will stand by you when millions are against you. But how to find it???

  but at this point in time, do you think the elders look joyful?

  are they serious bible students?

  Elders are just like they were back in the late 70's,80's,90's and 2000's

  • Elders will pretend to care just so they can get a better seat to watch your struggle.
  • Elders say they care about you and are the ones who tear you down when they get the chance.
  • They share the secrets of sinners and enjoy the gossip.
  • They like to backstab people and promote their holiness.

  The nice and humble elders usually get the boot and are not allowed to make any decisions.

  Shared some TTATT with my wife and now she wants us to have a weekly personal bible study

  here is the situation.... a young 19 year old in our congo had a fallout with his parents because of all the restrictions and jw dogma and moved out of the house last wednesday.. to make the story short, the parents went running to the elders and what was the comfort?.

  coe said: i saw that coming!

  your son never reached out to get baptized.. then the other elder said: don't worry, you still have one left that will be saved.

  Thank you everyone !!!! I will prepare with the advise given and I will be ready this Sunday not teach my wife, but just guide her and let her come to her own conclusions.

  I also wanted to give you guys an update.

  My wife's 19 year old son came back to the house but he is standing his ground. (I am happy to hear that) He also stated how he will not dump his new girlfriend, that he is going to find a new job and save some money and move out of the house.

  When his mom said that he had to follow rules and if he did not change, their relationship was going to change in a drastic way. Her son bravely stated that he understood how her religion makes her act this way and that he is not going to allow the elders to pick on him

  It was also impressive that during the conversation his mom told my wife her son was calm and not disrespectful or rebellious .

  I wish I had this same attitude when I was 19. Now I want to find out if he knows TTATT

  Now BTW, my wife is a hard cookie to crack but I have to take it slow in order to avoid getting turned into the elders at this point. I am still preparing myself financially and I want my family to have a better foundation once I leave.

  I NEVER Hear A JW Talk About Never Dying & Living Forever In Paradise Anymore!

  i was raised with this belief, that we would never die and actually make it into the "new system".

  mu faithful jw aunt still talked about my mother (her sister) and her walking together into the great tribulation--- and never die at all!

  she spoke of that 2 days before she passed away.. i believe most witnesses expect to die and then get resurrected.

  Funny how people who truly believe in Christ are not afraid of dying. Among the old timers within the JW's have to accept the fact that religion is a snare a racket. Someday if we live long enough will see everyone die, one by one and then is our turn.
