  help an ex fundie understand

  this is my first posting , even though i've started to at least 7 times.

  i've been reading this forum for 3 months trying to understand how jw's live their lives away from the work environment and how it affects their life decisions.

  i'll explain why i need to know in the rest of the post.

  Well, if you really want to know about Jehovahs Witnesses this is the wrong site. Everyone here are ex- witnesses &/or who have an axe to grind.

  You are so full of crap your eyes are brown. This forum has more former elders and Bethel people than you'll find on a hard core 'hovah web site.

  Techically, most of what you say is right, however, don't forget the UNWRIITEN laws and guilt trips if you don't do what you stated.

  You sound like a text book 'hovah apologist, which, in my opinion, is a hard core 'hovah that knows very little if anything about the history and techniques of the WTS's GB. Now get off this site or I'll turn you in.

  don't you hate those radio commercials for automobile dealers that scream at you very loudly, and always say the have the cheapest deals in town.

  i also hate it when the say that their prices start at invoice cost.....do they think all consumers are just total idiots..... .

  I hate those Progresso Soup tv commercials that always compare themselves to the basic watery Campbell Soups, as if Campbell has no other soups. Because of such deceptive, intellegence insulting commercials, I'll never buy Progresso soup.

  there was an elder in my hall, that everyone feared, and had the power and position to make fear a realistic reaction.. i remember him saying, that if he or any of his grandchildren were ever to be disfellowshipped, not only would he never speak to them until they came back, but he would go to the extent of removing all their pictures from the walls of his house.

  how harsh is that???.

  just doesn't seem to me like god would do such a thing, and a religion that supported that type of behavior just boggled my mind.

  i'm interested to find out how long each of you were baptized until you decided to leave?.

  i was baptized december, 1989 and left six years later.. if only i didn't get baptized in the first place, then i could tell my family how wonderful the holidays were!

  i was watching seinfeld with my family yesterday.

  it was an episode where george gets in some trouble because he has been hanging out with some people from houston and he saying "you bastards" and similar silly stuff.

  my dad had to say.."bad association spoils useful habits"...gawd!!!!!!.

  Weird and unusual Kingdom Halls

  does anyone here have any experiences with any unusual kingdom halls, such as architecture, location and furnishings.

  in eaton ohio there was a small kingdom hall that sat next to the railroad tracks and everytime the train went by it shook the building.

  in salyersville ky there was a small kingdom hall in a storefront buliding, no sound system and they had a kerosene heater at the back of the hall.

  tree awnd forest

  if tree fall in forest with no one around to hear it, it make a sound?

  dont it deepend on howe you denote sound?

  if sound dependent on human perkeption, the tree make no sound.
