You will carry your burden on your own as you decide. Fading or disassociation is yours to decide. They updated their policies to state it is not necessary you write. Your words is enough.
A Christian man is a free lord over everything and subject to no one. He then followed this up by saying: A Christian man is an obedient servant in everything and subject to everyone.
Martin Luther.
Deciding to write a disassociation letter is a way of exercising the FREEDOM the organization want to stifle.

THE TOURIST GUIDE as obtained from the KINGDOM RULE Book chapter 5 paragraphs 1-6
The book states..... The spirit of the truth . . . will guide you into all the truth.”
The spirit is Jesus’ means of teaching his followers whatever they need to know about God’s Kingdom—right when they need to know it.
Me: Who are your TOURIST GUIDE TODAY?
The faithful and discreet slave. 😎😎🙄🤔 You need to accept that as the TRUTH when they say
1. All of you must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not
or
2. when they say no one can progress on the road to everlasting life outside of the interpretation and meaning the faithful and discreet slave gives to various Bible chapters and verses
Therefore, the Modern day tourist aka the faithful and discreet slave guide states as copied from the kingdom rule book paragraph 5:
The Bible Students spent decades pointing out that the year 1914 would be significant in fulfilling Bible prophecy. However, at that time they believed that Christ’s presence had begun in 1874, that he had begun to rule in heaven in 1878, and that the Kingdom would not be fully set up until October 1914. The harvest would extend from 1874 to 1914 and would culminate in the gathering of the anointed to heaven.
Then they asked:
Do mistaken ideas such as these cast doubt on whether Jesus was guiding those faithful ones by means of holy spirit?
Their response paragraph 6: Not at all!
Me: Yes 100% since what they call mistaken, premature ideas and eager questions are not what they are in years 1874, 1878, 1914, 1925.1975. This same modern day tourist guide call it God's established truth, God's date, divinely corroborated, correct beyond a doubt, indisputable, proven certainty of divine origin
The modern day tourist guide aka the faithful and discreet slave continued as captured in the kingdom rule book paragraph 6.......
Hardly! Similarly, although God’s people (aka the faithful and discreet slave) sometimes try to work out details of Jehovah’s purpose before it is time for the holy spirit to guide them to such truths, it is clear that Jesus is leading them. Thus, faithful ones prove willing to be corrected and humbly adjust their views.
Me:........ The question becomes, how can the holy spirit be guiding this faithful and discreet slave when they are already working out details that is not within their jurisdiction behind the back of the holy spirit aaaaaaaand before the time the holy spirit would guide them See Acts 1:7
Whatever details they work out and teach before the holy spirit does so as truth until they humbly corrected it as admitted, It is a 100% prove that they are not guided by the holy spirit.
😂😂😂😂😂

Leaving JW - My own experience
by joao inas some of you may know, i disassociated myself from wt$ last april.
and i did it in the noisiest way i could find: i wrote my disassociation letter and made sure to send it to all elders of the two congregations in my town and to all jws whose email address i possessed.
i knew this would bring loads of issues because my wife was in as well as our younger daughter.

The beauty of disassociation letter. I dropped mine, what followed was gossips about being a fornicator or an emblezzer of congregation funds.
Never a clean way to leave the only religious organization on earth doing GOD'S WILL.
I didn't bother to waste my time explaining reason why I did it. Only my Bible student called for clarification as to my sudden absence.

Ecclesiastes 12:12,13
by Lost in the fog inwhenever you think of your time in the organisation you'll remember all of the books.
every year at a convention, new books brought out.
shelves at home groaning under the weight of multicoloured covered wts books!

I am very familiar with this scripture and of course the organization will readily use it to discourage higher education and university education but not their outdated and running outdated publications that are reprinted frequently like never before.

Two Bible teachings JW's DON'T know about....
by BoogerMan in....but the november 2022 study watchtower will definitely instruct them.. 1) god's name is jehovah!.
2) jehovah is using an earthly organization to do his will - not jesus!.
in study article 45, 'jehovah' is mentioned at least 60 times.

Jesus last words to his disciples
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you, and you will be witnesses of me in Jerusalem, in all Ju·deʹa and Sa·marʹi·a, and to the most distant part of the earth.”
Witnesses of me(Jesus) as simple as that is, Rutherford decides to go and pick a scripture that had no bearing or context relating to Christians.
First century "governing body" aka Peter states while inspired....... 1 Peter 4: 14,16
If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy, because the spirit of glory, yes, the spirit of God, is resting upon you. But if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not feel ashamed, but let him keep on glorifying God while bearing this name.
20th century Christian "governing body" aka Rutherford not inspired and can err in organisation directions and doctrines.... ........
; therefore we joyfully embrace and take the name which the mouth of the Lord God has named, and we desire to be known as and called by the name, to wit, Jehovah’s witnesses.”

20 Things I Don't Understand about Jehovah's Witnesses
by Vanderhoven7 ini don’t understand how jehovah’s witnesses can rightly claim:.
that less than 150,000 faithful christians existed prior to the 20th century....when allegedly millions were martyred during the first 3 centuries of the common era alone.
unique ability to interpret scripture...when interpretation of prophecy has been 100% wrong for over 130 years.. .

@ joao to simply apply their own standards of judging others will lead to their own detriment.
1. What makes a religion right is its total adherence to God’s Word. Whether our religion meets this criterion or not can only be determined by open-mindedly comparing it with the Bible.... Awake 1984
Jehovah’s witnesses cannot afford to be open minded. It goes against the set up of obeying and following directions that doesn't make sense from human point of view
2. Certainly such an important matter as our worship of God should not be determined for us by the coincidence of where we were born.....Awake 1984
Does not apply within the realms of authority of the GB.
3. After all, the child born to Catholic parents has had no more control over this fact than the child born to Muslim parents controls that..... Awake 1984I still wonder why the writer of this article cannot use JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES in the place of Muslims since their arch enemy is the Catholic. Why?

@ Fisherman
However, when the fulfillment of our expectations appears to be delayed, it may dampen our enthusiasm. We could even lose heart. (Prov. 13:12) This happened at the beginning of the 20th century. At that time, many anointed Christians expected to receive their heavenly reward in 1914. When that did not happen, how did faithful ones deal with their delayed expectations?... Watchtower August 2019 study article 31 paragraph 9
Where did the scripture or Bible ever states the anointed one will receive reward in 1914?
Who promised such a reward in 1914?
Who made the anointed one be in expectation in 1914?
Yet Jesus returned in 1914 spiritually 😂😂😂😂
In fact the remnant of the anointed according to WTBTS still remaining on the earth were not cleaned or free from babylon the great until until 1919.
and according to Vander......
This was in 1927. In that year the witnesses understood that the dead spiritual Israelites had been raised in 1918 to life in heaven with Christ Jesus. It was an invisible resurrection, of course." From Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained p.192
