We must personally decides whether we will serve Jehovah. Looooool! Leaving a religious organization by writing a resignation or disassociation letter equates to leaving Jehovah. This Jehovah is a property of a religious establishment headquartered somewhere in North America.

STUDY ARTICLE When a Loved One Leaves Jehovah
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower—study edition | september 2021. study article 39. when a loved one leaves jehovah.
2 think how heartbroken jehovah must have been when members of his own angelic family turned their back on him!
(jude 6) and imagine how hurt he was at seeing his beloved people, the israelites, rebel against him time and again.

This has been repeatedly discussed over and over again. There is never a best way to leave. Everyone will carry his or her own load when the time arrives.
I know there are members who have little or no benefit from their membership for certain number of years. These ones when they DA it is as good as nothing to lose.

Statements or Comments Made By JWs That Were WRONG
by minimus injehovah’s witnesses claim to be the only religion that has the truth.
they claim to be representing god himself.
can you think of anything that you could use to prove that the witnesses do not have the truth?.

@ Atlantis
Not only are they wrong at what you highlighted up there, they equally lied about it. They give explanation for only inactive witnesses not really for those "no longer used to".

As those Bible students soon found out, however, it can be one thing to learn what the Bible teaches about a certain doctrinal subject but quite another to discern correctly the meaning of a Bible prophecy. Why is that so? For one thing, Bible prophecies are often best understood when they are undergoing fulfillment or after they have been fulfilled. But there is another factor. To understand a prophecy correctly, we generally have to consider its context. If we focus on only one aspect of the prophecy and ignore the rest, we may draw the wrong conclusion. In hindsight, it seems that this has been the case with a prophecy in the book of Joel. Let us review that prophecy and discuss why an adjustment in our present understanding is needed.........study article 14 year 2020
Emphasis on Bible prophecies are often best understood after they have been fulfilled
If we focus on only one aspect of the prophecy and ignore the rest, we may draw the wrong conclusion......same study article.
For many years, we have applied that prophecy symbolically to the way in which Jehovah’s people, like an unstoppable swarm of locusts, engage in their preaching activity.
However, when we consider the prophecy in its context, we see that a different understanding is appropriate. Let us examine four reasons why this is so.......same article
When those prophecies are taught and speculated back then they are truth but when they add as captured in this article that new interpretation is different or admitting not following context leads to wrong interpretation. Then you can be guaranteed that they are all bunch of ...............................
In reality the prophecies were made to fulfill and match their doctrines nothing else. They were not explained or interpreted to fulfill what was intended by the writer of those prophecies.

Banned words in the organization
by Addison0998 ini was talking to my sister in law the other day about death, and i mentioned something about the afterlife, i don’t remember what i said but it was nothing shocking .
but she squealed, “we don’t believe in the afterlife!
!” and i reasoned, well we kinda do...life after death is the after life..and she just insisted no no it’s not the same thing.

J Dublethink
by LoveUniHateExams ini'm just thinking of examples of jw doublethink.. here's one - jws will tell a bible study or unbaptised publisher that there is no hierarchy within the org.
they typically remark on christendom's hierarchy but then say 'we are all brothers'.
but as a person gets further into the cult, jws will constantly stress the need to obey the governing body.. jw hierarchy .

What makes a religion right is its total adherence to God’s Word. Whether our religion meets this criterion or not can only be determined by open-mindedly comparing it with the Bible.
Certainly such an important matter as our worship of God should not be determined for us by the coincidence of where we were born. After all, the child born to Catholic parents has had no more control over this fact than the child born to Muslim parents controls that..........Awake 1984 November 22
I wonder why the writer of this 1984 awake article didn't write the below this way
Certainly such an important matter as our worship of God should not be determined for us by the coincidence of where we were born. After all, the child born to Catholic parents has had no more control over this fact than the child born to Jehovah's witnesses parents controls that.
It just shows that whatever is applied to those outside is never to be applied to insiders. A very good point to show them how hypocritical they are when they shun family members who decided to leave the religious organization of JWs as they placed it in this article cited..........
What makes a religion right is its total adherence to God’s Word.
And when the children born by JWs finds out the religion they were born into didn't adhere totally to God's word. They get shunned and as it were become despicable apostates that goes up in smoke according to AM III

Sample Disassociation Letters
by Vanderhoven7 inwhat do you think of the following sample disassociation letter from 4jehovah.org ?.
if you are looking to disassociate from jehovah’s witnesses, here is a sample letter you can modify for your use:.
i have decided to disassociate myself from the ____________ congregation of jehovah’s witness.
-
Longlivetherenegades
That's correct @ Vanderhoven7. It's a straight announcement. No need of a judicial committee. One or two persons might be sent to meet with the person to guage how strong his determination to disassociate his or possible cause.
It's also good to use their own very procedure to disassociate and when they come to seek clarification, tell them to their very face that, what is the procedure for if they do not want members to leave the organization

I would not like my choice of associates to be regulated by law. Is disfellowshipping painful? I see that it is. Do I want to be forced to speak to a disfellowshiped pedophile because a judge says I must? No. Not now. Not ever. One's choice of associates, no matter what drives it, should be beyond a judge's pureview.
Reworded by me...........

Can a person resign from being one of Jehovah's Witness?
by RULES & REGULATIONS incan a person resign from being one of jehovah’s witnesses?.
frequently asked questions.
a person can resign from our organization in two ways:.
-
Longlivetherenegades
Yes is the answer only that you join a selected group of those "LEADING OTHERS TO SIN" aka DESPICABLE APOSTATES and wait for it (RENOUNCE THEIR CHRISTIAN STANDING) this particular aspect make me laugh whenever I see it. Why?
1. JWs hardly want to be called CHRISTIANS they rather be called Jehovah's witnesses than Christians.
2. Rutherford in his bit to SEPARATE those under his whims decided to impose JWs on them and RUTHERFORD look in derision the name CHRISTIAN.
3. Peter said we should suffer as CHRISTIANS not as a JWs but JWs want to eat their cake and still have it. How?
Those who resigned and are no longer JWs are still CHRISTIANS but JWs don't want to have none of that they went ahead to state once you resigned, you have RENOUNCED your Christian standing.
Who rejected the name CHRISTIAN in the first instance? JWs!
How can one renounce what they never had?
Its equally nice to tell them in their face that RESIGNATION is part of their policies, should they feel bitter about you deciding to do so, why was it included in the first place.
