just wanted to pass along a big hello to everyone from terry.
i spoke with her on the phone the other day and she wanted me to let everyone know how much she misses us.
she has not been around on the board since mid-february due to her computer becoming infected with a nasty "teddy bear" virus.
I remember her and her little fuzzy cat icon! I am happy she is in good spirits and health. (((OrangeFatCat)))
when i went to college several years ago, we had (as i suspect is usually the case) a college-sponsored newspaper; articles written by the students, for the students.. there was one writer who absolutely had it in for the president of the college; the pres couldn't even sneeze without this writer making a big issue about it in next week's paper.
i happened to have a personal relationship with the president; he was a former jesuit, and we had several interesting conversations about theology, etc.
one thing he told me was that he just couldn't understand why this writer had such a fixation: they had never even met!.
For me, fixations are distractions allowing me to ignore the real issues I should be dealing with. I do not believe this is true only for me!
I agree, kgfreeperson.
Baptized publisher.
even in my hardcore active jw time i had no use for the jw calendar.
i ordered it each year and put it into a drawer.
most months were really ugly illustrated and it was completly useless without the holidays.
I've tried using them but the glossy paper just doesn't have the absorbent qualities of Charmin.
LOL! I never used them. They were so drab.
hi jesika and aztec,.
i hope you can help me to get to know everyone better here.
this is a really huge forum from what i am used to.
It takes a bit of time, but eventually you will get to know everyone. Maybe not on a personal level, but you will recognize many people's posts and personalities. Welcome to the board!
my daughter and i just love the harry potter books.
we are eagerly awaiting the 5th book in the series which should be delivered to my home on saturday.
anyone here pre-order the book?.
OutNFree, my brother got the book at Barnes & Noble tonight and his cover doesn't look like that either. It is pale blue and has a picture of Harry on the cover.
looking people in the eye.
meaning what you say.
working hard for what you have and not depending on "contacts".
I'm sorry you are feeling down, Teejay...I actuallly smiled when I read your post because it reminded me of a number of good things in life that are worth endeavoring. I hope that you feel better, and thank you for that reminder.
june 20th marked a new beginning for me and yourschelbie.. we had a justice-of-the-peace wedding, with just a few family and friends on hand.
the judge did a marvelous job of capturing the essence of the meaning of marriage in just a few minutes.
(and we weren't reminded that serving a publishing company should be the #1 priority in life, lol.).
Congratulations!!!
