Tomb Raider 2: lots of action, totally what a movie should be, escapism. The story was a little lame, but I love watching Angelina. She did 85 percent of her own stunts.

I saw this story this morning on Good Morning America. This guy flew out of the plane at 30,000 feet and glided with this 6 foot wing device in order to glide easier and not free fall. He was the first person to fly across the English Channel. Reminds me of Lara Croft Tombraider: The Cradle of Life when she jumps off a building and glides across Hong Kong.

Can a Dub wife have holidays if her non-Dub hubby "instructs" her to?
by closer2fine inwasn't there an article stating that the wife of an unbeliever couldn't get in trouble with the congregation if she participated in holidays at the instruction of her husband?
(ie purchasing presents that he told her to) wasn't this because of headship rules?
where does that leave the unbelieving children?

I remember when I was in the JW's, a woman in my congregation was forced to attend a bar mitzvah with her husband. She told me she thought Jehovah didn't love her and she would be disfellowshipped. She worried herself sick about it. Poor thing, I think she died some years ago. I always felt sorry for her.

Stupidity reigns with my co-workers - A typical exchange last semester (I work at a college)
TresHappy goes to restroom (the nerve of me)
TresHappy hears door of restroom open and slam shut and the hustled feet of one of my teachers...
TresHappy is washing her hands, hears the hustled feet of spoiled brat teacher.
TresHappy is met at the door with some b.s. line "oh there you are..."
TresHappy says "I had to go to the ladies room..." BUT I NEEDED YOU A WHILE AGO...I JAMMED THE COPIER AGAIN. I put the overheads in the wrong slot...jammed the whole copier...
Tres looks at teacher and thinks "and you've got that precious degree..."
Tres unjams copier. My boss heard about this and raked her over the coals for coming in while I was in the restroom.
Now teacher hates tres!

Cowboys, Sea World and the Riverwalk -- HERE WE COME!!!
by cruzanheart inwell, the scotts are taking a well-deserved vacation to san antonio starting tomorrow, so if you don't hear from us for a few days we're okay, just away from the internet.
the cowboys training camp has begun and we have tickets for the scrimmage between the dallas cowboys and the houston texans saturday night.
while big tex is watching the practices, the kids and i are going to check out the shopping, the riverwalk, and all the toy stores we can find.

that would be real awkward considering paul's discussions on salvation by faith or his view on the decisions of the so-called 'jerusalem council'.. or what about a book on the archeology of the bible.
you'd think after 120 years they's have published that by now.. .

Give experiences as to what it felt to be a female in the JW's..
by Country Girl ini can tell you how bad it felt.
it felt bad every time i put some "doily" on my head cuz some fourteen year old baptized freak was saying the pryaer that day.
it felt good when i had to put a napkin on my head, knowing i was the oldest child, because my brother was baptized... and i was older and babysitting him.. to show "submission.".

I think the worst part for me was the constant reminder about headship. I wasn't married, but it seems these talks and sermons and diatribes came so often. It always gave the men something to cheer about!
