My favorite episode is one of the first ones, in black and white, where they see a jungle boy, played by a very young Kurt Russell.

Faking time cards
by mkr32208 ini wonder if those of us who have simply faded started sending in time cards that we just made up.
you know massive placements hundreds of return visits if they would count them or just toss them out?
also how hard would it be to set up a ficticius congregation with all of us as members?

Towards the end of my JW days, I lied on my time card. Then I stopped turning in one. I heard my devout JW mom say "I suppose Jesus didn't turn in a time card" and that was it for me. Despite all the slams my Mom makes about the WT, she is still devout. "Where would I go?" she says to me.

Update: New Governing Body Pics - Have fun!
by Neo inthe twelve men who exert control over the lives of 6,000,000 people and who could put a stop to all the harm caused to families if they wanted to:
as i said in another thread, most of them started partaking the emblems after 1935. that's a clear sign that there's a corrosion of the "remnant" doctrine, because now most of the governing body are considered "replacements" of 'anointed ones who have fallen away'.
i finally found out the new gb members' ages.

They all look extremely boring and if they were wearing white, they'd look like Texas Death Row inmates.

Would you buy a new car on a 60 month loan?
by Elsewhere ini have never done a 60 month loan and i have sworn i never would... but with how much cars are costing these days i'm wondering if i will have to do a 60 month loan on my next car.
that is five frigg'in years!
i paid cash for my last car ($4,500 - 1999 ford contour se, used) so i had no payments to make.

I have learned the hard way that the best deal isn't always the best deal.
So I now act like the federal and state governments, I get three bids and look for the best deal.
My hubby insisted I go to Wal-Mart to get the oil changed because it's so cheap. I've had nothing but trouble with my oil since then. From now on, I am going to the more expensive place and let me vacuum my car out...

What would you do if all the gas dried up?
by jayhawk1 inokay, we know all the gas won't dry up soon, but it sure is expensive.
i got to thinking, what would i do and what would others do if there simply wasn't any gas to buy?
myself, would it no longer be worth making payments on my home and moving to another one closer to work?

We could look to the sun for a lot of our resources, however we would have to elect a president who isn't a former oil man.

I remember several years ago I went looking for a car to buy. I was a single woman and thought I would get treated like Elsewhere, and I did at several places. They all had that Mr. Haney attitude (from Green Acres) and was getting pretty frustrated until I went to a Ford dealership and found a nice man who genuinely wanted my business. He let me drive the car over to my parents and then my dad came back and helped with the negotiations. Did I get the best deal? I will never know but I had someone who treated me with respect and actually worked with me for several hours on a slightly used Ford Escort! We still have that 1997 model, as my hubby drives it to work everyday.
