by Mulan ini have no idea what happened, but i was rebooting my computer, and got an error message that a file needed to load windows, could not be found.
i messed with this damn thing for an hour and finally just restored it.
it would only open in safe mode, which allowed me to save some things, like my money files, but i couldn't print or save my address book again!!!!!!!!!!.

Inky got a letter from her son.............you have to read this
by Mulan inour niece, irene, who posts here as inky, sent me an email.
her 27 year old son is getting married in two weeks, and she posted a few days ago about how he didn't invite her to his wedding.. she told me i can post it as she doesn't want to read it again.. "dear mom.
i've needed to write this letter to you for some time now.

I read this letter and my mouth and heart just dropped. Words cannot express how hurt she must feel at this moment. This is what "Jehovah's loving organization" does to people. It was all I could do to sit through my grandmother's funeral a few weeks ago, but that is NOTHING compared to his letter.
My heart aches for you, and every other parent who has received such a letter.

I am one of 5, although the oldest passed away at age 3. The four of us have all married, all have families, step families, it can be great at Thanksgiving (yes my JW parents come to the Thanksgiving feast.) As a matter of fact, I am going to the annual family reunion of my cousin at the end of June. I simply call it "The Redneck Reunion", because that's what it is!

He died on a cross
by ClassAvenger indo any of you ex-jehovah witnesses still believe that jesus died on a stake, or a cross?
-
TresHappy
I used to think does it really matter whether he died on a cross or a stake? Now I just see it as a way for the WT to bash other churches and set themselves apart from everyone else.

Are people happier married or single?
by JH in.
it think it was paul who said in the bible that people are happier single than married.
do you share paul's point of view?

I was single for a long time before marriage. Being single hads its advantages. Marriage has its advantages. My opinion changes, especially when I am mad at HIM...

Why do most brothers work in the cleaning business?
by JH inwhen i joined the jw's many years ago, i couldn't get over how many were working in the cleaning business.
i know this permitted them to go to the meetings, out in the field service, and work without any conflict.. where did this trend start?
is it like this world wide?

That was very common in our area. Lots of physical labor jobs, things like window washing, construction, etc. Actually there was a guy in our congregation who wallpapered. You should have seen the work he did. Absolutely splendid. He did my whole house and only charged $10.00 a roll.

What's The Worst Thing a "Friend" Could Ever Do To You?
by minimus ineveryone thinks they have a friend or even many friends.
have you ever come to know that your "friend" was really no friend after all?
what happened??

I must admit most of my friends in the WT were great. That is until, I left the Borg. But the losing of friends was mutual. I'd love to be around these people, however, it's all you can do to sit and talk to these people and all they discuss is the WT and encouraging you to return.
I recently got in contact with a old Witness friend and she was very happy to hear from me. Her husband is inactive and she only goes occasionally. Both of her sons are involved in tennis in school (another no no) and are local tennis champions.
The worst thing someone ever did to me in the WT was one of my best friends was getting married and she had admired some photos I had taken at a person's previous wedding. I told her I would take her wedding photos and give them to her as a wedding present. Guess what she says, "well this is a private wedding, and you wouldn't get into the door." It still hurts when I think about it.
