Those early videos of Duran Duran. I thought all the guys in that group were gorgeous. Especially "Hungry Like a Wolf" - which was filmed in Sri Lanka.
boil the chicken for an hour, then dump the stock.
How many Martha Stewarts does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None - You can't get to the lights in Cell Block C.
i know right now you are sitting behind a computer, so you would be considered (at least by me and millions of others world over) to be... well... lucky.
here is where you react with your personal problems which are rather petty (sorry not trying to be rude here) life situations that amount to a hill of beans, barring extreme life circumstances, compared to say, that one guy who wears rags and talks to himself on the corner of main and broadway.
huh?
Dallas Mayor Laura Miller just got panhandling banned on Dallas streets. It's her way of getting rid of the homeless in order to attract big conventions and corporate relocations. She says it's a safety issue. Mayor Miller is also the one who got smoking banned in all restaurants in Dallas recently.

in the spirit of minimus i thought i'd put a positive spin on things.
they say when you surrond yourself with the positive its easier to be positive and vice versa for negativity (no offense to min as i also fully believe that you have to deal with negativity too).... that being said....whats the nicest thing, compliment, gift etc that anyone has ever said or done to/for you?.
Acts of kindness have always been fun to do. I remember a couple of years ago I went to a radio remote and grabbed a whole bunch of free State Fair tickets. Then a week later I went to the fair and these coupons were going to expire. I was in line to get in when a whole family came up and were going to buy tickets. I handed them enough for them to get in and they just looked at me like I was some crazy woman. I told them I had been given these and couldn't use them. This woman started to cry. She then told me her husband had just gotten laid off work and they were going to the fair to cheer themselves up and forget their worries. How much fun was that!
The kindest thing anyone has ever done was when I was in Northern Ireland. I went to visit my pen pal's parents in County Tyrone and they were so kind to me. My friend's mother greeted my first morning with "Breakfast in bed." I couldn't believe it, no one had ever done that for me. Then they held a party in my honor, all these wonderful Irish people coming and visiting me. That was so AWESOME...
it all started on friday.
i had sushi for lunch with some friends from work and then went to our miniapostafest friday night and had more sushi.
felt a little queasy but i figured it was all the sake bombs i'd had (one at lunch, two at dinner, plus a gin & tonic and glass of wine).
Cruzanheart, sorry to hear you are sick. And you are allowed to complain. My husband always asks if I would like a little cheese with my whine...
Hope you're feeling better and SOON. Now you know why when I hear the word "sushi" I start crumbling at the knees.
in light of the recent threads on homosexuality, if you were gay would you let anyone on this site know?
would you feel supported as a gay exjw or would you feel ridiculed?
would you feel safe here?
Probably not...it's really no one's business...
i think for me, it is if someone doesn't believe that what i say is sincere or honest.
i find that insulting.
what about you??
I received plenty of insults while in the Borg...some of the most favorite and honorable mention...
1st Place - Goes to one of my "friends" who told me I looked butch after cutting my hair short.
2nd Place - Goes to the pioneer sister who was with me one time in the car driving and made the statement "you know new clothes would really help the way you look in service...."
3rd Place - Goes to my father, who told me I was as bad as "Satan." (I would have awarded him first prize but family ties made him 3rd)
Honorable Mention -
Includes the brother/sister married couple who invited me to dinner. Mind you, I was single sister, - all they did was grope each other and remind me that I would meet a good brother someday. "Well maybe you will meet him making sandwiches at an assembly or something like that..."
Oops, I can't forget the other pioneer sister who said I looked like a corpse when I didn't wear lipstick. Perhaps she should get first prize.
both literal and spiritual?.
a minimus kinda question.
answer and help in our noble cause: the promotion of vivamus; from jedi to emperor!.
If you were a woman back in the Old West and your husband died, most likely you had no education or minimal at best. That what was one of the chief occupations for women who had to survive to feed their children. Perhaps they could get lucky and become a kept woman for an older well-to-do man of the area whose wife had said "no more honey". I suppose I would have done that to survive.
The above scenario is the real life story of a pioneer woman that I read about recently.
So you see, it's all in the timing...
