Catherine is just precious...her mother is a well-known cabaret singer. Paris' grandmother is a well-known gospel singer - it's running in the genes this time around.
I vote for Catherine!
i just thought i would start a new american idol thread.. any comments on this week's shows?
i thought it was time for kellie to go.
i think she is just a darling girl, but not anywhere in the same league as the ones left now.

i remember so long ago i thought elders were like a god and would always make sure i smiled at them and put on my innocent act in front of them .
even being out of the cult it took me years to finally get it through my head that they are human and not a god as they themselves think.
then one day a jw elder came to my door and at that time i had a newborn baby that i had been up with all night .
Since daddio is an elder, he is actually quite kind. It's when I am at the house and they visit in herds to go to the loo that I get really upset.
hey all .
i had one of the worst days yesterday .
anyway i worked on monday 6 hour day, he left me some accounting work which he knows i cant do and office work.
Employers can be real bastards/bitches, can't they. NOTHING, I mean NOTHING, is more important than you and your baby's health. Stress is such a killer; I would find a way to stay home, I'd get my healthcare provider to get me on some type of disability. There's a girl here at work who is pregnant and her boss gets mad when she goes for a check-up. He makes her make-up the time instead of taking sick leave. She finally went to human resources and they told her she could take sick time. He has since backed off since but is still giving her grief about working after the baby is born.
i want to put this in the right frame, as what is happening in iraq is not about dying for our countries.
so this is what i mean by this question.. if a foreign government were to suddenly invade your country.
would you be willing to join the arm forces to fight for your country, knowing full well that you may die having never been able to reap the benefits of any possible victory?
Definitely defend myself and my family...no to joining the military, unless I can join the military that Private Benjamin wanted to join; with the condos and the private rooms.
what kind of a forum member do you consider yourself to be?
are you trying to be dedicated, helpful to others, humourous, expressive, intellectual, or something else?
Soon I will celebrate my 5th anniverary on JWD - tradition dictates either wood or silverware for gifts...
Actress Victoria Wyndham (Rachel Cory, Another World) came to a meeting one time with someone - it was the early 90's and I walked into the KH and saw her there - supposedly no one was supposed to know her because she was on a soap. I sat there for a few minutes and went up and welcomed her...she smiled and said she was doing research for a role she was playing...the soap was cancelled in 1999 and I have no idea what's she's doing now. She played the role of Rachel for over 25 years.
i threw everything away except the bible (which i now know is crap), the songbook and reasoning from the scriptures ( to use against them... primarily the conversation stopper part).
so many posters seem be able to access jw info easily and quote it... i wonder if i should have kept everything.
at the time, it was a way to start over and commit to never going back.
Yes, until I decided to donate it...but I still see it when I go to my relatives.
My family doesn't have knick knacks, they have stacks of Watchtowers!
one of the first things that i realized after i left the organization was that i could actually have human heroes who weren't bible characters.
now this will give you an idea of how much of a nerd i am, but the first person i began to idolize as a 17-18 year old teenager was richard p. feynman, the mid 20th century theoretical physicist.
of course, now i'm on my way to becoming a physicist myself, although i'm going into the experimental side instead of theory.
Denny Crane!

The late Princess Diana...
My favorite photo of her.
does anyone out there have any wise words for us to live by?
a favorite motto?
please share your wisdom if you don't mind.
We count our blessings and then we spend them.
