I like to try and relate the current political affairs and mention Hillary and Bill getting back in the white house, or Trump getting into the White House. Its surprising how JW,s have pretty strong feelings one way or the other about who will be in charge for 4 years and then I will say something like, if only you guys voted, 2 million votes one way or the other would change an election.

One recent example I came across was in the Dec 15, 2015 WT Where they quote from the Preface of the Revised Standard Version..“4 Despite the clear evidence that the personal name of God belongs in the Bible, many translations completely omit the sacred name of God. In fact, just two years after the New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures was released in 1950, the Revised Standard Version was published. That version omitted the name, reversing the policy of the editors of the American Standard Version of 1901. Why? i have heard before that there is a per publisher going rate, used to calculate the total expenses.
now we have the actual document that shows it.

my spouse is getting more and more annoying ever since they starting encourageing use of their videos. She just found out how to use technology and plays them constantly on her smart phone to no one,s delight but her. Bought her some headphones, but thinks others around her would like to hear the gibberish so doesn't use them often. -

no doubt it is because of the fact that the society disallows any form of sincere questioning of teachings or doctrines or history etc.... if there was open discussion allowed - free of repercussions and punishment, then no one would feel stifled.
if genuine concerns could be raised, then no one would feel smothered or unable to share thoughts... then in turn many would not leave.... but due to the high control, authoritarian culture the society has created, many feel trapped, and end up searching outside of official channels...and leaving the society.....

Are speeding tickets issused in your area???
by James Mixon ini haven't seen anyone stopped for speeding on our freeways in some time.. wth it's dangerous out there, i'm driving 69-72 mph and someone pass me at 80-85 mph.. here in southern ca it,s crazy.
the speed limits are 65-70 mph.
