Perry, I know you believe all this bleeding stuff, punishment, redemption, wages and so on.
Give yourself a break and enjoy your moment in the sun on planet earth. It is unique, irreplaceable and priceless.
The gods will take care of themselves.

Truth is not a rigid set of beliefs.
Once we think we possess the truth,
We close our mind to other possibilities,
In that moment we have suddenly,
Lost our connection with the infinite.

Jehovah's Witnesses Are NOT Under Mind Control
by PublishingCult inhow would you respond to the assertion that 7.2 million members of the jehovah's witness religion are not under any sort of mind control?.
the argument being that every one is responsible for their own actions and cannot blame the indoctrinator for what he says and does.
how could they possibly be under mind control?.

I have mentioned before to others that I believe that the religion itself appeals to those with the trait of compartmentalization, especially when it becomes a disorder.
This is a factor in the type of people who are attracted and stay for the long haul. It is a similar mind set to choosing a holiday.
Some people want to plan the whole route, pick their hotel, flight, hire a car and organise every aspect of the holiday themselves. They want to be free to explore and decide for themselves how they spend their time. Others prefer a package tour, where everything is decided for them including the set meal times and menu.
'They say things like, I just want it all organised for me so I can relax and let them do the worrying. If anything goes wrong they will sort it out.'
That's not such a bad idea, as long as the organization they put their trust in delivers what they promise.

I appreciate that there are many effective and subtle ways of controlling other peoples minds. The Watchtower Society use various techniques. The deception method is just one, that I highlighted because it is dishonest. It has also been their practice from the very beginning.
The promise of everlasting life in a new world, the members main goal, is a lie. So the members are living in a fantasy world that is more real to them than reality. That is a part of mind control because once they are living with an imaginary hope for the future, other fantasies can easily be added.

There are many ways of controlling other peoples minds. You can promise that if they do as you say, or invest in your company, they will obtain the things in life that they most desire. The promises are often false and the offer is a con. The innocent victim buys into the plan because he or she is deceived.
According to the bible Satan was the first snake oil salesman in the world. He was an amature compared to the Watchtower Society, which has specialised in making false promises for over a hundred years. They warned their members many years ago when they declared that, ' Religion is a snare and a racket!'

"Religion...is the Opium of the People" - What did Marx Mean?
by cofty inwhen read in context karl marx was not directly attacking religion when he wrote those famous words.. .
religious distress is at the same time the expression of real distress and the protest against real distress.
religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation.

Nickolas Your comments and observations are spot on, in my humble opinion. Supermarkets are always offering something free or at half price in order to promote their particular agenda. It may appear unkind to compare supermarkets to religion but look at the facts.
The Mormons have Salt Lake City. The Catholics have Vatican city. The JWs a publishing empire. The Church of England is not hard up. The Jews - well if you insult them you will never work again - they own America.
The Muslims are the biggest competition these religious groups have. There are individual people who talk directly to their god and claim no affiliation to any organized religion. In the world of religion, this is called the wilderness.

Are you a spiritual? - What is the definition?
by TastingFreedom inas a jw, the definition of spirituality is very limited and narrow minded.
but i have realized that i'm a spiritual person even as an agnostic.
watchtower's use of the word is completely wrong, and only used to benefit their own agenda.

TastingFreedom This is one of the most profound, sensible and intelligent approaches to Spirituality I have encountered.
Many of my posts attempt to explain that the lack of belief in a god does not mean a lack of belief in the underlying essence of nature and the outworking of the universe. The lack of religious belief or theism, does not automatically mean a mind that is closed or insensitive to spirituality.

The Evolution of God
by Spade inhttp://www.watchtower21.org/2011/01/evolution-of-god.html.
in the evolution of god, robert wright takes us on a sweeping journey through history, unveiling a discovery of crucial importance to the present moment: there is a pattern in the evolution of judaism, christianity, and islam, and a hidden code in their scriptures.
straddling popular science, ancient history, and theology, this ambitious work sets out to resolve not only the clash of civilizations between the judeo-christian west and the muslim world but also the clash between science and religion.

In the UK Simon Cowell is God. America is slowly waking up to this. I have watched him evolve from a penniless pop-song promoter into God.
He is real and can be seen and spoken to. He may even let you audition for a place in his elevated orbit while he watches from his throne.
