Mystics do tend to keep quite for fear that some people will think they are nuts. I did say some people and have not expressed a personal opinion.

i am wondering how much of my anxiety about the end of the world is from the wt experience, and how much is just me.
i just watched wall-e, and while a cute movie, it really made me anxious.
scifi in general makes me nervous.
Like many here - my world ended some years ago.
The one I live in now is much better. This one will end when I die, as has always been the way.
Often only people who believe in undefined invisible 'spirit' forces or beings and are given to illusionary contacts with them are thought of as mystics.
In fact anyone who has a religion or faith in a god is a mystic. This would include all Christians who generally have lots to say.

Obviously, as the messiah, my experience would be more direct than most. But noting that, I did speak with God personally, I've seen Satan as well.

My family and JW friends avoid me like the plague which suits me very well as I want nothing more to do with them. We have nothing in common anymore.
My brother explained that he could never see me again but offered to write from time to time. The terms were unacceptable to me and I refused to be relegated to penfriend, after the love we had shared and stopped all communication.
It is less painful that way, otherwise there is a tendency to live in hope and pretend that a relationship still exists.

The Scientology does offer a more practical life plan than the JWS and encourages education and wealth making, so their members are generally less impoverished physically.
But they are both mind control groups who enslave their followers.
It is like trying to pick a favourite nostril.

does not believing in god bring evil down to a simple explanation of the conflict that is within every human being.
seems to me the "force" is at work in the world, and the "force" is both good and evil.
sometimes it is easier for me to believe in the existence of satan than the existence of god.
Good vs Evil.....does the existence of God prove the existence of Satan?
First we would have prove the existence of god and the question would then answer itself.
Until that happens we are left to ponder the results of positive and negative behaviour. What we think is off as beneficial to us personaly we lable good. And what we perceive as harmful we lable bad.
Good and evil are simply concepts that are used to define the effect that peoples behaviour has on us or those we care about or identify with. Or what benefits us as a race of people or the human race as a whole.
Good and evil are largely subjective terms that have no value without context. The idea of an invisible mystical creature roaming the earth trying to harm people is a trick of the mind. But then the mind is not entirely rational.
i keep on hearing you repeat that people here are "hate driven"... i don't agree... when a person realizes that they've been duped by men, and that's all the gb and the fads are, just men.... it hurts.
but i don't see very many people here as hate driven.
then you started a post that accused us of being hate filled, you gave no examples that i could see, but you later stated that you were going to research the truth on your own... have you done that in the last two days, because i'm pretty sure your post was two days ago?

Whatever you are looking for, I doubt if you will find it here. If you are looking for angry people to argue with you will be spoilt for choice but if it is truth and peace of mind that you crave you might want to do something similar to what I did earlier this week.
I Returned to a village a pond I used to sit by many years ago and watched the ducks for two hours.
In the silence I learned a lot about myself and truth.
