my question is....why do they do it? why marry a non-jw in the first place?
The other side of that is, why would a worldly person marry a jw?
a couple of my wife's friends are married to non witnesses.
they say jehovah must have special plans for them.
and that it is a special exception not destruction, alas, they are not attractive so my special idea about polygamy won't cut it.

there seems to be a push to fast track the younger men to become elders.
beings jesus was 30 when he took up his ministry, i would think that would sort of be an age gauge...the older men were to have their children in subjection, so some were old enough to have children that were old enough to want to rebel.
( that's my slant ) how will the ones who have been jw for years respond to being counseled by those younger than some of their grandchildren?
Imagine a newly appointed 'young elder' being presented with his copy of the secret book...
'Oh thanks! I mean I've seen this before but only as a PDF...'
here is the thing: i tried several times to watch the convention...i just couldn't seem to forge ahead with it.
the reason i wanted to was to be able to engage in conversation about it with some of my old friends that communicate by phone that don't know i have disassociated.
i want to be able to slip in seeds of doubt, but at the same time i have to seem a bit current...) so i welcome to know any take outs, commentary, good or bad, or the video plots, etc.
The story of 'Antoinette' is interesting. In 'JW Thoughts' (Wally's) youtube video on the Saturday morning, there's a clip where the little girl goes on to have a Zoom call with a Russian couple.
I had a look this morning at that video on the org website, and they seem to have edited it down. The Zoom call is now much shorter. It still looks as fake and scripted as anything, but the viewer doesn't get a chance for thoughts like that to crystallise before we're on to the next segment.
Happy to be corrected if that isn't what happened but otherwise I'm happy the original still exists in some form!
do you think the brothers who wrote watchtower articles are living in real world?........
david splane........ powerful by faith convention 2021 video.
please i got an excerpt of this from another video but the response by david splane is not included.

a new space telescope launched a few days age that will supposedly be able to see to within 100 million years of the big bang.
wow... only 100 million years from the big bang.
that is pretty early given the 12 billion year age of the universe assigned by scholars who adhere to naturalism.
The secularist has limitless faith that Nothing Exploded into Everything.
I can't help reading that in the voice of Kent Hovind.
It's on a par with 'they believe their great granddaddy was a rock!'
is there one line of prose or poetry that stopped you dead in your tracks and haunted your mind for days on end?
is there a line, a paragraph or a book that feeds your soul and there is no end to its craving?
share it with all of us.
I walked a mile with Pleasure;
She chatted all the way;
But left me none the wiser
For all she had to say.
I walked a mile with Sorrow,
And ne’er a word said she;
But, oh! The things I learned from her,
When sorrow walked with me.

Relentlessly pursuing a girl with a camcorder is a big red flag in the real world.
I wonder if the footage still exists, or are the tapes worn out from endless freeze-framing and replaying during 'alone time' sessions.
Now I see just how much superhuman restraint such a one would show in refusing to record his judicial committee, eh.
new translation record as 13 bibles are released in one weekend:.

merely translated the American-English version of the NWT into these 13 languages.
This inspired me to look at one of the existing versions of the NWT, I picked the Zulu language as one not too obscure.
Just running it through Google Translate, I was not expecting to see this at John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
I checked Tagalog and Welsh, and they do seem to have the doctrinal '...a god'.
A glitch in Google Translate, or a glitch in the Zulu translation committee?
By the way, the Welsh translation hub, or whatever they call it, is an impressive property.
the reason for my question is because one pimo has noticed that there are some pimis--particularly spimis--who have remarked that they "are not going to contact nor associate with the friends who are delinquent on zoom and/or at in-person kh meetings, conventions, and assemblies".
i've noticed this as well: a few ppimis and pimqs who were very close to me and my exdub family members are hearing from them less and less lately than before last year's rc and this year's rc.
so, is the above a thing nowadays?
Is it just me, or is it acronym central in here! I daren't ask for a list; it might look too much like the '100 genders' list.
