  After reading about the Orthodox Jewish practice of sucking the blood, I sure view the practice as barbaric.

  I think medicine and hygiene have moved on from the times when circumcision had any demonstrable benefits.

  As to the original question, the practice of complete removal of foreskin was apparently not practiced in Jesus' time. That was introduced around the 2nd Century. So Jesus' circumcision was not what is done today.

  And God's edict to Abraham about circumcision was some while after Adam.

  Watchtower looses Norwegian Appeal

  watchtower has just lost its appeal in the norwegian courts over the withdrawal of the funding it receives from the government as an officially recognised religion.

  the initial decision will now stand due to what the court termed 'exclusionary practices' which includes the witnesses barbaric practice of shunning minors, even by family members in their own homes.

  the ministry of children and families have decided they are now no longer eligible for the state grant of 16 million norwegian kroner given to officially recognised religions.. the following is a statement has been issued, i have summarised if it isn't readable: .

  Something is wrong with the government when they resort to interfere with religious freedom.

  None of the freedoms of Jehovah's witnesses is being interfered with. They are free to be under the thumb of watchtower if they want to be, and watchtower is free to keep them there under threat. And that undue influence is what Norway decided it could no longer implicitly support by funding. That's how it seems to me.

  Don't forget that Jesus will appoint the 'faithful slave' over all his belongings. The eight governing body members will humbly take on 'all authority' at the earliest opportunity and likely will reward Jesus with an assignment such as dialogue consultant on 'the good news according to Jesus'.

  The rest of the 144,000 will have to watch their step!

  But clearly the survey was aimed at people who have never been to a zoo or seen wild animals up close.

  Rick says he got a two week ban from streaming on Youtube for hosting some questionable content from his conspiracy theory friend. The programs from the weekend, some of hem at least, are on Facebook.

  our witness friend who during covid grew his beard has been hassled by elders who asked him "why" he chose to have facial growth.

He had noticed that over the years Brother Balzereit had grown a beard very similar to the one that had been worn by Brother Russell. His example soon caught on, for there were others who also wanted to look like Brother Russell. This could give rise to a tendency toward creature worship, and Brother Rutherford wanted to prevent this. So during his next visit, within hearing of all the Bible House family, he told Brother Balzereit that he could buy the rotary press but only on the condition that he shave off his beard. Brother Balzereit sadly agreed and afterward went to the barber. During the next few days there were several cases of mistaken identity and some funny situations because of the “stranger” who was sometimes not recognized by his fellow workers.”

  Just a suggestion, references to 'the revelation book' are very likely to confuse.

  I read the title of this thread and thought you intended an analysis of the watchtower's 'Revelation—Its Grand Climax At Hand!'.
