You could be right. I don't know. Probably wouldn't hurt to "test" the waters. I would be absolutely dumbfounded though if this was the case. I mean this one is a long-time Watchtower cheerleader of the highest degree. She's also a little nosey and would probably love to find out about how my life is going so she can try to "talk" me back in. LOL. This is the one who cried when I told her I DA'd myself and that was only 6 months ago. So you see why I doubt that she is having WT doubts.

Well, I certainly am confused! My JW neighbor just waved "Hi" to me from her driveway so I went ahead and bit. I hollered "My washer just broke down" (I was carrying a load to my other neighbors washer). JW neighbor hollers "Do you want to use mine?" Flabbergasted, I said "No, thanks".
I do not get this. When this JW neighbor moved into the neighborhood (I was not DA'd yet), she gave me her house key to hold for emergencies in case she locked herself out (we all do this around here). After I told her I DA'd myself (this past June), she crept over to my house one day when I was at work, and asked my mother (not a JW) for her house key back. I mean really. I could sneak in and plant demons in her house. LOL. [8>]
This is the same JW neighbor that I said (in a previous thread in December) I saw dressed in red on Xmas day accepting a wrapped gift from a person in a car in her driveway.
Now this woman is elderly and a Pioneer...a long standing one. We're talking years here. My thoughts are that she told someone I had DA'd and that I had her house key and she was told to get it back right away. This she obediently did. But it looks like she is not participating in the shunning. She was always friendly with me in the past (before my DA'ng) and I probably could visit with her if I chose to do so, however, I don't particularly want to. She's VERY JW and has no computer. It would be like butting my head against a wall and I haven't got the time or energy for that. LOL.
Does anyone have any idea where this woman might be coming from? Don't you think her elderberries would be very upset with her if they ever found me washing clothes at her house? It sounds to me like there is some congregation rebellion going on among the very faithful. Yes??? {{{{}}}}

when in the "truth" most of us used to pray.. i used to pray for help in doing things , say give a talk , and would ask for holy spirit .i felt i needed it to give a talk well.. but was it all just a placebo effect.. did the belief that i was getting help cause me to become more confident because i though god was helping me?.
as time went on in the truth i felt as if prayer was just talking to your self.in fact i found it embarissing to give prayers in public as i felt silly talking to an invisible creature.. but in the night i would prayer and maybe go over the days events , think about new things coming up , other people and life in general.. is this benifical to a person?.
in doing this we are meditating on events we would not otherwise think deaply about , this can help us think of solutions to problems or put things in perspective.. how often would we review events if we didnt pray.. now i doubt that we are conversing with god , but i think to "pray" or go over events in your mind maybe once a day or whatever, is good for your well being and can help you with lifes problems.. although not getting help from another creature we as humans need to meditate in order to make good decisions.. the placebo effect doesn't seem to work anymore and i rely on myself and my experience to help me do difficult tasks.. but when something really big comes up i admit i still say a little prayer.
Sleepy and Freeborg:
(1) Pray to whom? It doesn't matter. God (or Jehovah or Jesus) has a plan for each one of us. He answers our prayers when they are in line with that plan. Thank Him always for the good things that are in your life. Praise Him for everything as the Creator. Pray for others always. And lastly, pray to become more sensitive to what He wants for you and not what you want for yourself.
(2) Read the Bible (Living Bible easier to understand) but not without asking first for Him to help you understand.
(3) Watch and tape Dr. Charles Stanley on TV. Go to his web site www.intouch.org and order his materials. There is an archive of his talks and audio/video tapes and books. His talk last week was on prayer and why people have the very same problems you just mentioned. The outline of that talk is in the archives. See if you can get the tape. It's worth the money and then tape his TV programs (will save you $$). The man is GOOD. I can't recommend him enough. I was lost after leaving the JW's for the same reason. Who do I prayer to? What really is the truth? Stanley will reach your heart guaranteed and help you. He makes makes more sense than anything or anyone else I have heard in 30 years. I now understand the Trinity and realize the JW's are completely off base. He's a baptist preacher but not over emotional, if you get my drift.
Hope this helps.

what do you do when you're being blindsided from seemingly every direction and you're drowning in stress?
what do you personally do to counteract it?.
reading joelbear's latest post ("joelbear needs to calm down")reminded me of what it was like when first exiting the watchtower.
JerryTx:
I left the Borg in June and had the same sleeping problems. My mind was going a mile a minute and my life seemed so screwed up I didn't know which direction to go first. Every night I was trying to relive my life all over again. Sounds like you're trying to do the same thing. You need some PEACE, FOCUS, and TLC.
(1) If you are still a spiritual person, I highly recommend you watch Dr. Charles Stanley on TV. (www.intouch.org). My mother loves him and a friend at work also watches him. (Trust me! My mother is not impressed by much). He's a Baptist preacher out of Atlanta and I'd give my eye teeth to attend his church services in person. You can find his TV and radio schedules on the Web. Dr. Stanley really speaks to your heart and will give you such peace. Most of the time, I'm left in tears but they are "grateful" tears. I have to work on my head constantly. I tape every one of his TV shows. In my area, he is on Sun 8:00 a.m. He has the same talk on Sun night at 7:00 p.m. and the following Sat night 7:00 p.m. He's also on the radio.
(2) Pray for God to let His will be known to you. Basically, the past is gone, the future is not yet here (and in God's hands), so you can only focus on the present one thing at a time. God has a plan for each one of us and it's a better plan than anything we could dream up ourselves. He really knows what we need and what will make us happy. He wants us to be happy so just WAIT, don't fret, and let Him reveal it when it is the best time for you. Always pray for others but give God a chance to reveal His plan for you in due time.
(3) Additionally, I read books by Dr. Richard Carlson. His basic book is entitled "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff...and It's All Small Stuff" and he has a whole series. They are short reads. Being a trained psychologist, he has a knack of clearing out the garbage and getting to the base problems that make us crazy. www.dontsweat.com. I'm currently reading "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff About Work" which is helping me focus my life and alleviate all the stress I'm causing myself.
(4) Also, EXERCISE, EXERCISE, EXERCISE. It will help you sleep (and make you thin!)
(5) Take a hot relaxing shower before you go to bed and focus your thoughts only on the good things that are surrounding you or that have happened to you that day (there has to be someting!) Go to sleep with a smile on your face! You can figure out how to put it there.
The above will work for you. My e-mail is open.

okay fess up: whats your handle mean?.
my handle: mindchild comes from computer scientist and futurist dr. hans moravec: who wrote the book, the future of robot and human intelligence which is a book about when we will be able to construct machines capable of human intelligence and raises the possibility of uploading ourselves (every thought we ever had) into an android body much superior to the human ones we have now.
i entertain the hope that not only will i live long enough to see this happen, i will transfer myself (the complete essence of what is me) into a body of my own choosing and become immortal if i so choose.
Lady (trying to be clever) asking man if he would like to dance this foxtrot number: "Would you like to trot a fox?" instead of the so-o-o boring "Would you like to foxtrot?" So I became "Trotafox".
I'm a dancer.
