I sometimes wonder if these people funding the insurgency really believe all that religious b.s. True, they have their mullahs and imams to help indoctrinate the younger ones into suicide attacks, but yes, this is all a "smokescreen." The religious conotations on all these attacks are bogus. Iraq is a Muslim country, yes. Practicing, no.

It's funny to watch how these young people try to participate in attacks who haven't been indoctrinated fully. They are seriously let down when the payday does not come, and they wind up in jail.

Funny, this stuff rings a familiar bell. Large quantities of money, indoctrination, being let down. Sounds like the BORG, but on a much larger and more intense scale.

me and my lady friend were attacked in capetown by a guy with a knife.

i was frozen of fear, she kicked him very hard, but became little injured by the knife, he took of injuired also.

i did basically nothing, just stading there.

Discipline or Child Abuse?

i remember spanking my son when we used to attend meetings and conventions because he cried and just wouln't sit still.

i was told that he had to be disciplined so he would learn to behave and learn what was being said from the platform.

now that i look back i realize that that was child abuse and i feel so horrible about it.do you feel guilty for spanking your kids during meetings and conventions?

there is nothing wrong with spanking, plain and simple. Children are inherently selfish, and this quality must be removed. If a stinging bottom is what removes it, then so be it. There was a guy brought to trial and acquitted for spanking his son interviewed on Fox the other day. While I believe the son was too old to be spanked, (13 I believe) the father was well within his right to spank him. The jury saw it that way also.

As far as making the wee ones sit for that long, it's difficult I understand, I had to go through that when I was little and do the same to my daughter and older son. Even though we're all out, I'm confident knowing that my kids show more couth and cultural etiquette than some people twice their age.

well, Butt, just not the way he way he was thinking.

but hey, my bro was df'd, and 15 years later, the rest of our family left as well. It works both ways. Just because their propoganda says that 'they will realize the error of their ways' and 'seek forgiveness' to be 'brought back into the fold,' does not mean it works that way. Instead, in our case, my parents got a son back, I got a brother back, and my kids got an uncle back.

My family is proof.
