  They'd also lose the 20% boost on gift-aid donations or any contributions under £20 (i.e. most contributions)

  Also, I think they'd start paying V.A.T. (20%) on anything purchased?

  i noticed that in paragraph 13 they mention the girl sheryl that i believe was the same girl that was in their video about the typhoon that hit the philippines back in 2013. they talk as if she's so happy and thankful to jehovah even mention that she lost most of her family in that typhoon.

  what they don't mention was her family members that were killed in that typhoon were inside a kh thinking they were going to be protected by jehovah since they were in gods house and his people and all.

  they also fail to mention that the government authorities were telling people to get out of town but the elders were most likely telling the people in their congregations to stick around and just come to the hall.

  If that is Jehovah's idea of "blessing" people then I think I'll be better off without it, thanks!

  Of course, the JW's are waiting for Jehovah to "bless" the whole earth, i.e. kill 99% of the population.

  i tap on search and am returned to the home page.. for why, simon?

  Yeah I meant to mention it too - the mobile menu closes when you click on the search, presumably because it's set to do so onblur.

  I just hack it by going to the search page address and adding my search query to the URL:

  (Also an empty search gives a "Server Error" message rather than a slightly nicer "You didn't search for anything!" message.)

  New "donation" arrangement begins to FAIL

  so here we are, almost a year into the "new" congregation donation arrangement.

  and its beginning, as was predicted, to fail miserably, and to have direct negative consequences on the poor sheep.. let me give you a little experience, directly from our congregation of about 80 publishers.

  back in may, after reading the letter about the "new" arrangement, the elder body decided to "donate" the extra funds on hand to wt, as directed.

  DesirousOfChange - I know of a pioneer brother who had a very fancy custom-bound leather NWT with a large section from that old Watchtower including that quote pasted into the inside cover of his fancy leather binding. Ironic that the WTBTS has got rid of that translaton and also pretty much breaking that promise.

  Also hopefully monitors with AMD's FreeSync will be coming out later in the year too and they might have HDMI as well as DisplayPort - maybe best to wait on this one, but nice to see monitor manufacturers at least trying to keep pace - they've been very stagnant lately.

  I'd much rather have an AMD/ATI card anyway - I still haven't forgiven nVidia for the "bumpgate" fiasco and lying.

  letter read out at meeting last night - for scotland!.

  the scottish rbc urgently requires qualified plumbers who are registered central heating installers.. also, they are looking for volunteers to train as plumbers for the scottish rbc.

  It also doesn't help that most of the skilled people in Scottish congregations got poached or got bored and went to do temporary volunteering down at the London Bethel and/or international construction.
