What was your favorite video game?
by LoveUniHateExams ini've never been that big on video/computer games but i used to have a ps2 and my absolute fav game was star wars battlefront ii, released by pandemic in 2005.. you could choose to play as three different classes of soldier and fight for the rebels, the imperials, the republic or the battle droids.
as you played and gained points by killing the enemy, you could unlock a fourth and fifth class of soldier.
you could also play as a hero or villain - such as darth vader, luke skywalker, princess leia, etc.. there was something absolutely awesome playing as darth vader and cutting down or force-choking rebel soldiers on the tantive iv.. .

Did You Ever Get Hit On By An Elder?
by minimus inthe organization stresses to elders to be careful with members of the opposite sex.
never be alone with a sister whether it be in field service or paying a visit by means of a shepherding call.
do you know of any elders that flirted or were overly “touchy” with females?

He was not an elder but a ministerial servant. It was when the kingdom hall (the one I was attending at the time) that we were building. While there, a very fine-looking brother was flirting with me big time. I didn't know who he was but later learned that he was married with two children. I'm not sure why he was flirting with anyone because later on I got to meet his wife, and she was just the cutest person, with the sweetest personality, that I have ever seen. Yes, I did fall in love with the whole family. I did call him out on his behavior because I don't play those kinds of games. For some reason, that really impressed him, and I ended up getting a job through the government.
I was rather ballsy and brave when I was a single sister. I didn't have a problem calling people out of their unacceptable behavior. I think that was why none of the single brothers were interested in me, and thank god they weren't. I would have turned them down anyway.

Total strangers are more loving than God
by pleaseresearch inimagine this.
someone has been involved in a car crash or shooting.
total strangers usually rush to the aid of the victims.

They would say that the injured one called out to God and he sent those strangers to help.
The problem with that thinking is what about all those who did cry out to God but help never came in time, or ever?

Good memories of full-time service?
by fulano inperhaps not a topic for everybody... mine.. in both sp service in a foreign field in europe , the freedom and helping people to read and write in spanish .
doing a lot of work in the congregations.. in missionary-service.. helping congregations in a third-world country and see good results in family relations.

My main memory was how broke and in debt I was. I recall the number of times my car was used out in field service, and no one helped towards the fule cost of the car. Where I was living at the time was a mostly rural area. I was still living at home with my parents, and how my mom forced me to go out in field service every single day, and how exhausted I was. It never failed on a Thursday I would always fall asleep in the car. Me being a regular pioneer was all my mother's idea, and at the time I just did not know how to tell people NO.

2 - Both my father and mother shun me, and my dad has never been a JW
4 - My sister is married to my husband's brother, and their two children.
4 - My sister in law and her husband, and their two sons.
2 - My mother and father in law.
2 - My husband's cousin, and her husband.
1 - My husband's uncle, who also left the Watchtower many years ago.
1 - The cousin who lied to my mother and convinced her to become a JW back in 1973.
10 - The children of that cousin, and their spouses, and two of their children. There would have been one other to this count, but he passed away at the age of either 34.
So a total of 26 people that I use to have a relationship with, and knew very well, but that number is a whole lot higher now because I've been out for a little over 18 years, so that means even more family members that I didn't get to know because of that stupid, hateful, and unbiblical rule of shunning.
This is not even counting the number of relatives who know about the shunning, never have been a JW, but choose to shun us anyways.

What happens to Bethelites?
by rickroll inso if someone puts their life into serving the cult for free at bethel, then say after 25 or 30 years they are not able to for one reason or another such as illness, or family issue or old age, does the cult have any safety net for these people or is it you serve until you can't and when you can't you just go away?

I've heard from several different people, both JWs, and former JWs both say the same thing, they don't even give them a plane or bus ticket home.

My father in law is. I don't think my parents are, but they are in a different category of a negative personality type.
