I don't like tattood names or tattoos on breastes either. They can look nice or bad, depending on who it is and where it is. My ex-roommate had a big tattoo of a rose on her inner thigh (saw it swimming) and it was kinda nasty...But some are just plain nice...Always fun to go looking for them

Another question for all you guys out there
by Lehaa inok time to be brutally honest.. what do guys think of women with tattoo's.
first thing that jumps into your head.. reason i ask is i'm getting my first one next week and was wondering what the general concensus is.. i am definately sure about doing it.
thought about it for years and it took me 6 months to find the design i wanted.

Attn: Formidable Apostates
by Bubbamar ini read the thread yesterday about apostates and started wondering about your families.
i am thinking about writing a letter to my mom and sharing with her some of the things i have learned about the jw's but also realize that this will make me an apostate and will worsen an already distant and painful relationship.
i am hoping that some of you will share your experiences on what impact your outspoken "apostacy" has had on your families - how have they reacted to you.

I remember a recent thread about a JW who told his parents some of the info (the name slips my mind, talltexan perhaps....?) he found out about the JWs, and they actually listend and agreed to some of it. Sadly, that is very uncommon. When I told my inlaws about the stuff I found out, they said it was all lies and tried to prove to me it was. Once they realized that I wasn't going to change my mind and leave the Borg, I lost contact with them. Now I'm happily divorced and in a new relationship :)

why has god permitted wickedness?
by candidlynuts intmo commented on reading books which gave different views on why under the crisis of conscience thread.
all i've ever known is the jw view.
that he is giving satan time to prove mankind cant lead themselves.. what are other views?

The premise is that "god was all powerful, all knowning and all good..." If that were true, then he wouldn't permit evil. So that premise must be false because evil exists. So If there is a god, he is not what the above statement says. He could be all powerful, all knowning, but not really all good. He could be as neutral as switzerland, making cool pocket knives up in heaven.
I gotta get me one of those holy pocket knives.....

books to explain the bible
by zen nudist inif the bible is really the word of god, and complete.... it seems to me that any organization, whether it be wt or christian research institute or a host of others..... by making books to explain" the bible to anyone, is basically saying that the all wise, all knowing god, the creator of all,.
really didn't write his book correctly, needs their help, is basically out of touch with humanity and wrote a book in code that.
needs human intervention to interpret..... the book itself claims to be complete and the only things necessary, and further claims that the spirit of god would be given to .

Also,
Its easier and more acceptable to write your own Bible Aids to tell you what the bible says, rather than write a new holy book

Good point. I remember my ex-daddy in law (elder) explain that the WT pubs are a magnifining glass to closely examine the bible. Sort of like a microscope examines things at closer detail. you can see it well enough with normal vision, but to see the fine details, you need a tool made by man to get a better view.
All hog-wash. Their publications are just a way to slant what was already written.

Questions about Jehovahs Witness???
by JDWEEE incharles taze russell, founded the jw in the 1860's.
which is based on his own interpretations of the bible.
he had no theology education, and did not know the greek, and hebrew language.. question: how can an average man, with "no" education, interpret the bible correctly?.

MJ:
Very righteous sounding and obviously having the view that the entire universe revolved around their little group
Duhh, they are the center of the universe, remember? God created the universe and they are his "special people" so....
Which brings up a question? If only a few million people are going to survive armageddon, and there are Trillions of stars out there, then why so many stars per person?

Charles Taze Russell, founded the JW in the 1860's. Which is based on his own interpretations of the Bible. He had no theology education, and did not know the Greek, and Hebrew Language.
Question: How can an Average man, with "no" education, interpret the Bible correctly?
Question: Why would God allow man, to go for so long, up until the 1860's, without the correct interpretations of the Bible?
Question: Why would God guide, lead, and empower, people to write the scripture in a way that we could not understand, and interpret?
Question: How do we know Charles Taze Russell was right in his interpretations?
Question: Why should i, base my beleif on what an average man, such as myself, interpreted the Bible to really say, and mean?
Hi JWDEE,
Don't listen to these apostates, they have fallen from the truth and everything they say about our blessed organization is lies. To answer your questions:
1. Jehovah did it.
2. Jehovah has his reasons, its best not to ask why of him. He is smart than us so we don't need to know why. Like calculus!
3. Because if everyone was able to intrepet te Bible correctly, there would be no way to tell who is the wrong religion. Thankfully we have a correct interpretation so we can point out false religion.
4. Because Jehovah God guided him.
5. Because Jehovah annointed Russle so we have to believe him, otherwise we are going against Jehovah.
Hope these answers help!!

YESTERDAY'S ASSEMBLY SUCKED........
by Mary inwell, i got dragged, kicking and screaming talked in to going to the assembly yesterday as a friend of mine was in the drama.
what a freaking waste of time interesting experience.
first of all, i had a tough time squeezing my larger than life ass bum into a seat that looked like it was made for a house-elf small child.
